Printer prep was simple, printer did not recognize the Wi-Fi so I had to hook up a USB printer cable and follow the directions. It all went very well with no problems. Just got the printer today and so far am very impressed and would recommend it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

BOUGHT THIS 2 DAYS AGO AND I HAVE NOT GOT IT SET UP YET. I SEE NO REASION TO HAVE A PASS WORD FOR THE PRINTER. SETUP WANTED ME TO RESET MY ROUTER I SEE NO NEED FOR THIS I DON'T PLAN ON USEING IT THRU THE INTERNET ALL I WANT IS TO NOT HAVE CABLE ACROSSED THE ROOM. MY OTHER 2 WIRELESS PRINTERS WORK JUST FINE. WF 6720 AND WF 840. THE REASON I BOUGHT THIS WAS FOR THE INK SYSTEM.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Epson Expression ET-2550 is a good basic printer for those of us whose print requirements are, well, basic. Out-of-box set up is easy, instructions are straightforward and concise. Warning, though: user must read the instructions carefully, lest the user touch a component that is not to be touched.
It would be helpful if a warning label were affixed in proximity to the ribbon.
Love the ink reservoirs and the peace of mind that comes with having a fat supply of ink for the foreseeable printing future

Linux Compatile Printer

Was all set to buy a laser, as I was constantly replacing dried out ink-jet cartridges, when I saw this. Much deeper color than a laser printer. WiFi setup is simple, and printer and scanner work in Linux and Windows, and prints directly from a phone or tablet. Uncertain about the print head clogging with infrequent use but time will tell. My long experience with Epson products has been very good, and my 20 year old ActionLaser is still printing !
