problems from start

I have filled the ink to correct level went thru all maintenance steps. Bought new ink that cost a fortune and still the printer only puts out blank pages

Ink stinks & smells like a moldy room

I bought this printer a month ago and thought that the big ink tanks would be a benefit over the cartridges. It does live up to it's advertised ink lower costs and can print mounds of paper before needing to bee refilled. The only major problem is that ink smells like mold. Even with your printer off and not in use the smell still comes off of the machine, especially in a closed off room. Epson should address this allergy problem!!!!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

No 2 sided printing AND small screen

We are basically satisfied. We miss 2 sided printing! The direction screen is small and hard to read 18-24 inches away.
Am I right to assume the print heads need occasional cleaning to avoid getting a false ink needed message?

New printer

The setup on this printer was super easy. My wife followed the directions step by step and the setup was complete in less than 20 minutes. Although I have not used it yet I would definitely recommend this to another person.

Best printer we have ever had! We have not had one time where it miss printed. We are VERY happy with this printer! A little more expensive then others, but FAR worth every dime!!

Was concerned that only uses 4 colors since previous Epson used 5 colors, but photos were still fine. Really like the ink tanks vs. cartridges.

After a month's use I am impressed with my TC-2550. Set up was NOT difficult.I use it for document printing and it performs well.Normally, I would have gone through at least 2 ink cartridges by now with my previous Epson printer but the ink levels show no sign of changing yet.A worthwhile investment if the expense of ink concerns you.NB: Follow the suggested precautions when adding ink and wear vinyl gloves as advised.
