I found the produce easy to assemble and start up. It seems reasonable priced in light of the fact that I expect it to save money by using reasonably priced ink, instead of toner. Customer service has made the installation very easy at a point where I was stuck.
I would recommend this to a friend!

The best printer I have ever used

I use my Epsom for home use. This is not my first printer but will be my last. Epsom has captured everything I need in a printer. I spent a lot of money on ink with my other printers. This 4550 initial cost was high, and I did hesitate on the purchase. Then I looked at the big picture, The saves on ink costs in the future. Really, so far this 4550 does a great job with pictures, scanning, and copying. Still have my old printer and have compared the print quality. The 4550 has a noticeable sharpness and legibility than my old printer with ink cartridges.

I thought setting up the ET-4550 printer using a MAC was very simple and the instructions were easy to read - if the customer will read the directions first.
I was concerned of the interface between the downloaded software and the instructions on the LED display might conflict but they did not and the process was seamless.
Overall, Nice Job!

Overall economical and better

I recommend this over deskjet as it prints more and quality is good. However the printing speed is same like deskjet which makes it behind any laser jet. Also I could'nt find manual feed tray in this printer so have search this before purchasing. Double side print never works for me so I can not say anything.

ET-4550 is in my opinion, Epson's brilliant MFP

EcoTank ET-4550, using the Continuous Ink Supply Principle becomes a leading brand of Epson range of printers that use refillable ink tanks, rather than cartridges. EcoTank ET-4550, will make amends in 2016: it's faster, supports both wired and wireless networking, and has automatic duplex (double-sided) printing. The ET-4550's price, which puts it head of leading line of Printers using the Continuous Ink Supply Principle and also this printer comes with two full sets of ink bottles that should last for a claimed total of 11,000 pages. When they do run out, new ink is so dirt cheap that no aftermarket ink can compete.
Having two sets of ink bottles rather than something like 20 sets of cartridges doubtless saves plastic waste and reduces hassle, but the system isn't without its frustrations. While you don't have to remove this MFP's tanks to fill them, you still have to be careful to empty the right bottle into the right tank, and be patient to avoid any splashes. Although the printer gamely tries to measure ink usage, the tanks don't have a level gauge, so you need to look every now and then to avoid running them dry. I strongly recommend the ET-4550 to those looking for long-term low ink costs, on top of Epson's renowned reliability, therefore, in my opinion it's a brilliant MFP.

Excellent printer

I have been very impressed with my Epson 4550 printer. Prior to this I had owned several printers that used cartridges and when the design recently went to only two cartridges instead of 4 I just couldn't bear to think of the waste that I was going to have and so purchased this one.
Copy quality is great (I use it for home use some light work applications). I have not had to replace the ink yet.... been almost 6 months, and have had no problems with it being "off line". While it is a bit pricey, so far I a pleased with the printer and do not agree with any of the "negative" reviews I read prior to purchasing, which I did only with the return policy of a great local store. The print speed is great, and I do not find the location of the paper try to be an issue with printing. I am much happier with the tray rather than the "gravity feed" and believe that the photos on line and in brochures are a bit misleading as they do not show the gravity feed and can lead you to believe that the 4500 model has a tray but after a quick swap at the local store (due to ordering the 4500 and being disappointed) we were off and running.

Excellent printer system

I love EPSON ink printers. I'm using them since 1997 and I'm very happy. This Epson WorkForce ET-4550 EcoTank® All-in-One Printer it is working perfectly as advertised. it is almost 9 months since we are using it in the office and the tanks are halfway from the first load of ink, so I'm pretty sure it will last more than 1 year using the ink that came with the printer from factory. There is 6 people using it and we are printing more than 500 sheets per week so we can asure that it was a very good choice to reduce cost in the office. 100% totally recommended!
