A flawed unit based on a good concept

I bought this pretty expensive printer because, primarily, I was tired of paying so much for ink and having some of them not working properly (even ones from Epson). Well, the ink portion of this machine works fine however it hangs up and won't print with about every fourth use. I then have to unplug it (just turning it off and on does nothing) and then re-plug it in to use it. Pretty sad for a unit that's this expensive.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great but touchy

I have owned this product for about a month. What made me buy it was the ink feature and the number of copies you get from it. I love the refillable ink where you can see how low it is getting. The machine is a little touchy. It has to be completely level to work. Also the paper tray feels a little fragile and is a little frustrating to push in. It will say that there is a paper jam and that was a little confusing to learn to reset it so that it would print. When it is out of paper and you refill it, it doesn't automatically keep going. I am excited to see how many copies I get out of it and how long the ink lasts. Right now I am very pleased. The prints look great and I still have a lot of ink left and I have made a lot of copies.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Fantastic Printer!!!

The Epson ET-4550 is a perfect printer. The print quality is great, the speed - even with two-sided printing - is really quick. The software allows you great control over print quality, scanning etc. and is really simply and intuitive. I finally dumped my four-color laser behemoth for this slick unit and couldn't be happier. The ecotank system is brilliant and very cost saving. I use it in my teaching and publishing business. Highly recommended!

New Product for me.

Had difficulty loading the ink reservoirs the first time. The ink did not flow smoothly out of the bottles. I had to squeeze the bottle in order to get the ink to go into the reservoir, and it got a little messy, hence the warning to cover the surface below and wear protective gloves. It requires a longer printer setup than I'm used to, but followed the instructions and it went fine. Printer works great. Could use a larger capacity paper tray and 2 trays. Hoping the ink lasts as long as advertised. Also like the low cost of ink.

ECO Tank

We have been using the printer for quite a few months now. It is a fantastic printer. Only recently have we had an issue with the scanning capability. We are unable to scan anything from to our iMac from the printers. I'm sure this is just a minor set back and updated drivers or firmware needs to be installed.

First of all, I am from Europe and my English is very poor. I apologize for any spelling/grammatical mistakes I will make and hope my review will be coherent and helpful for others.
I want to write this review because I am really very happy with my purchase so far. I have had many Epson printers over the last 15 years, Photos and All-in-ones, I also gave a chance to other brands but I finally always came back to Epson. When Epson released the EcoTank models, I knew that sooner or later, I will get one. I just didn't know which exact model to go for and it took time for me to make a final decision.
I had used some CIS in the past thinking it would make me save money on inks but finally, down the road, I realized that it was not the best solution as the printer got “screwed up” because of that CIS. It was so frustrating and finally a waste of money that I did not hesitate one second to invest in an expensive printer equipped with the latest ink system.

Positive features
As always, the Wifi connection has always been very easy to set up (at least on Macs, I have no experience on PC) and it took less than 30 seconds to pair since my network had been already created for my former Epson printers.
Filling the tanks for the first time was not bad at all. I didn't make much mess, I guess I was enough cautious not to. I recommend to wear gloves if you don't want your hands to be stained as ink is then very difficult to wash out.
The pictures on Glossy Paper are very good or good enough for what I do with the prints.
The fact that the tanks are transparent, you can see at a glance the level of ink. You are unforgivable if you run out of ink! And I have been printing more than 700 color pages and 10 high quality photo printings since day one and I have had my printer for 2 months and I still have about 98% of each ink color!
I read that some people complained about the noise, to me, it is not bad at all. To me, it is even good to hear it from a short distance as you can know when something goes wrong - lack of paper for instance.

The paper tray holds too few papers. I wish it could hold 500 sheets instead of just 150
The double sided copy from the feeder is not fully automatic as you need to return the paper manually.
If this printer had all the features and paper capacity of my former Epson WF3640 (which has 2 x 500 sheets capacity trays) and with the EcoTank system, this model would be a real beast that millions of people around the world would buy in a heart beat! But Eh, we can't have it all and right away!!!

Conclusion
I am definitely very happy with my investment and this unit worth every penny. At that price though, I purchased an extended warranty just in case my monster kitty jumps on the paper tray! LOL. I am using this printer for personal and business purposes and I highly recommend it.

Awesome all in one printer

All in one printer (fax, scan, print and copy). Wireless and touch color screen, you can do most of the task just like other AIO printer out there. But more to add, this is an eco-tank printer, just like it predecessor Epson Ecotank ET-2650 means you can refill ink yourself with ease. This printer also has an ADF function, means you can copy, scan a bunch of paper at the same time (which it is lacked in the ET-2650).
Besides the printer cable (which most of other printers doesn't include), everything i need to fire up this beast is in there including all the ink bottles. Photo printing is not the best but acceptable. Document printing is exceptional fast. I haven't tested the fax function yet but i don't there is any issues .

Great Printing and Scanning Device!!

The Epson WorkForce ET-4750 was easy to install and configure. I follow the steps on the CD provided and in less than 30 minutes I was enjoying all of the benefits. The ink provided was very easy to install. At first, I wasn’t sure how the ink was going to work, but then I read that I needed to simply flip the container into the correct color slot. It stops automatically when it gets full; this feature made it user friendly for me. The installation of the ink is under 10 minutes.
I decided to configure the printer wireless for now since I have 4 computers at home that now can print flawlessly. I have tested the printer with my iPhone and all I had to do was select the printer device from my phone (which was easy to find). I have also tested the flat bed to scan as well as the scan tray; both were responsive compared to other printers I have tried in the past. I don’t have a phone line, so I did not configure the Fax feature.
