Linux Drivers Need Update

I had downloaded the rpm driver and utilities packages. I then found that on Fedora, the printer modal was not available. I then discovered that the WF-4740 was compatible. There is obviously somewhat a lack of Linux support. There are a number of distros such as Red Hat and Ubuntu, don't drop the ball!!

Great printer!

I bought this printer in October, have printed since then and have not had to add ink yet! It also came with extra ink so I believe I will not have to worry about buying ink for quite sometime! I am very happy I bought this printer. Very easy to copy, print and fax and set-up was a breeze. Overall excellent experience with this printer to date.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Love my new Epson ET-4750 printer

This printer has been in use for about 6 weeks. Was fairly easy to set up and has functioned well! Print is very good. Only problem I had was that scanned items go into the computer as a jpg where my previous printer/scanner saved as a pdf. Once I figured that out, all was well! Also, am certain that my ink expense will go down with the new EcoTank technology Epson has introduced.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I bought this one to replace an old Epson that got clogged print heads. I hated always having to replace the cartridges and it was very expensive and didn't last as long as I expected. With this new product, you are filling up ink tanks from plastic bottles. They are keyed, so you can't load the wrong color in the wrong tank. The process is easy and there was no spilling. The ink you get should last several years and refills are reasonably priced.

This replaces a 830 all in one. Very easy to set up. Footprint same size as 830, and 2" taller.
Quality very good.FAX worked well from setup!
Refillable tanks are great. My first experience with them.
Makes some noise when printing, sort of like a turbocharger starting.
Overall very good.

Great printer execellent features with a few missing points

I have been using my ET-4750 for about a month now and want to go over my thoughts. This printer is an excellent printer, the ink filling is easy, the print quality is excellent, it has auto duplex and a document feeder. It misses the boat on a few items however. The big missing features in this printer are the auto document feeder is not double sided, making scans of two sided documents a pain to complete. The paper tray is ample however it does not support the stocking of both photo and normal paper at the same time, meaning to print a photo you have to remove all of the document paper, put in the photo paper, print the photo, take out the photo paper, replace the document paper and go back to normal printing. Several of my printers in the past had a seperate photo paper feed method so the more commonly used letter size paper does not need to be removed all the time just to print a photo. Aside from these drawback, I am very happy with the printer thuis I award it 4 stars.
