Nice machine, a bit difficult to use

The machine is easy to set up and the ink life is its one saving grace. The issue with the printer is that you cannot scan to email from the machine. You have to run back and forth using the software on your PC. The software is NOT intuitive. The documentation is lacking and nothing on line helps you find the answers you need. All and all the competition, despite ink, may be the better option
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I purchesed the printer from a local retailer, only to find out the automatic feed mechanism for the copy/scan function did not work. After calling Epson Support it was quickly determined the unit needed to be repalced. The repalcement arrrived in 2 business days and functioned perfectly.
The set up was easy and the printer is functioning perfetly. This was a replacement for an Epson Artison 730 that had given me many years of reliable performance and was still working, it was just time for an upgrade.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Excellent Photo Printer, Love the new ink tank system

Had to replace my canon MX922, which I did like, however it was expensive to put in those ink cartridges, and since I do not use it every day, they were trying out causing me problems. This Epson uses tanks that you fill up with their ink, the photos are far better than what my canon produced, and even though the printer is more money, you will save that money as on ink. The print comes with two refills of ink, and they are full bottles, so you will probably have enough ink for a couple of years if you are a light user as I am. The scanner works well, so that is a good plus. I do not use fax, so I can't speak to that. The only thing I miss on this printer that was on the canon is having the printer output tray open up automatically, you have to pull out the tray to collect the paper. Not a biggy if you just leave it pulled out. I highly recommend this printer.

Just bought this a month ago. Have not had it long enough to give a solid review. It has been ok so far. Easy setup and prints look good. Did one large picture and it looks great. Like the eco tank vs. ink cartridges.
