Great quality

I think the up-front cost will be offset over a couple of years with the cheap ink bottle refills (instead of pricey cartridges). The print quality is very good, and I enjoy the WiFi and two-sided printing features.

Windows 10 upgrade
on May 27, 2016

This download was needed after I upgraded to windows 10. I was away on a business trip when I had time to do the windows upgrade. When trying to use the printed at home the computer would connect to the printer. The upgrade worked well and is now printing again. I had to fill out the registration again which didn't make a lot of sense to me but I did it to get the down completed. Thanks Richard

When setting up the cartridge-less (LOVE!) ink for the first time put on your rubber gloves and old clothes just in case.
Epson please include 2 pr disposable gloves in the kit.
btw if you are using apple tv you might have to use a cable for this...

This is my second Epson printer and I liked it and so when it stopped working after 6 years of greate results I went back and bought the 4550. This is a GREAT PRINTER, SCANNER AND PHOTOGRAPH UNIT. I LOVE THE TANKS. You WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED.

set up was easiest I've ever had for a peripheral

Title pretty much sums it up. Never have I had an easier time setting up a peripheral of any type. The software and instructions are very helpful and intuitive. If the use of their Workforce printer is half as good as the set up process was, I will be looking forward to using more of their products in the future. Have a great day.

More and Less is More

There is nothing quite as satisfying as sitting on your sofa, working on your tablet, pressing the print button, and then hearing your printer engaging in the next room. The wi-fi feature is wonderful and the set-up was flawless. The ability to print small text has been stellar. Printing on photo paper rivals my R3000. The prints on "regular" paper have been a little soft, but if it's saving ink, that just fine with me. Epson has always excelled at scanning and this 4550 feature is no exception. Oh, and did I mention that the Eco-tank was why I bought this in the first place? Yes. We will see how that plays out over time, but so far so good.

Ecotank 4550

I am absolutely ecstatic about not having to buy ink every few weeks! The savings on ink will pay for the printer within a year or two depending on how much you print. Three things I don't like...The paper size must be changed from both the control panel on the printer and the software I am printing from. Should have been set up so paper size is automatically set by the software being printed from (word processor, photo editor, etc). I can't send a scanned image by email without having the computer on as I can with others, and when printing photos they have a red tint to them. This may be partly due to my camera, but I have noticed others having the same problem. This can be easily fixed using photo editing software, but this of course adds time to the task.
