New printer, ditched old HP

I’ve had this printer since Christmas but installed a month later.
The printer itself is a nice adjustment from HP.
However, the software has been a bit of a pain.
I installed this printer on my network, several computers now has multiple copies of this printer, the software, after it checked for updates and installed now has, in my programs button, two folders with about 8-10 total links and they aren’t user friendly if they even work at all.

Great, but...

This product works as advertised. The filling of the tanks is as easy as it can get. However, there are 2 items that I find irksome. My first item is the lack if saturation of the printed page. I'm not printing photos, just text. I'm afraid to try photos due to the lack of color contrast. My first printer had more saturated colors, these seem weak or pastel by comparison. My second item of concern is the lack of being able to print on 3 x 5 index cards. I was able to on my other printer.
I would recommend this to a friend!

SCANNER just does not want to work!!!!!

I keep on getting the "install epson event manager to use this feature" message on my printer display but all of that is installed. It just won't scan!!! I don't get it because it used to work before

Not thrilled

I like the idea of lots of ink. That’s it. The quality on plain paper is poor. Yes, it’s better on Epson paper but that defeats the ink savings, also… I don’t like all the Epson papers for plain paper printing. It always seems to need an update even though I don’t have it set to auto update. This printer is also not a postscript printer so, I cannot use it to print a hard proof (not important to most people, but it is to me).
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Generally a great printer

This printer does a really good job printing and the ink system has saved us a lot of money. It is making a clicking noise that we have not figured out the cause of, however. A bit annoying and will have to pursue the issue with Epson if it gets worse. The scanner is just average, but the printer function is great.
I would recommend this to a friend!

We bought this 9 months ago and it does not disappoint. I can't believe how much flexibility there is with printing. I can scale my documents to fit on a fewer number of pages, scan using the automatic document feeder, there are many choices for print quality, plus printing double sided, which is a huge plus. For the future, I would hope they can make scanning double-sided originals from the ADF available.
I would recommend this to a friend!
