Printer is very economical as far as the ink usage. The printer gives very good printed quality paper. The only problem I have had is it does not always accept different papers. Do not fill the paper tray all the way as it will say that there is a jamb or it is out of paper.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Set up and first day

So far, setting up and using the ET-4550 EcoTank has been a very positive experience. The set up instructions were clear enough, and they should definitely be followed, as the set up is unlike other printers. The DVD set up automatically downloads the latest drivers AND checks and updates the printer's firmware. THAT's a plus, and it went very smoothly. The window for registering the printer with Epson hung, but when I forced its exit, registering continued normally. The printer itself works fine and quickly. It's a little noisier than the (ink-drinking) Epson EX-830 that this replaces, but I have a quiet office. My only real complaint so far is the same as others have brought up: the 150-sheet plain paper limit, a minor hassle for us and no more. We have not yet used all of the features, and performance over time has yet to be discovered.

Waiting to see how long the ink lasts. Hopefully it lasts a long time. Nice pictures. Printed tons of letters. Has ample storage so paper does not need to be changed frequently.

All in one

I bought this a few weeks ago and for a number of reasons. Well, it has not even missed a beat even when someone placed a few cords on it so the paper struggled to eject.

Minor quibble

The reservation I have with this installation is that the instruction sheet hasn't been updated. It clearly says that, if using a Mac, you have to go to the internet. In fact, the enclosed instructional CD contains all the information necessary to complete the installation. Perhaps it's time for some editing.
Also, it's not totally clear in the view screen exactly what setting you use for conventional 8.5 x 11 letter printing. I suspect that it's "layout," but I'm not sure. Trial and error will likely answer this one.
If the test page is any indication of overall printing quality, it's going to be wonderful.

So far so good...

I just purchased my Epson ET4550 6 days ago and am just setting it up. So far so good. Not to hard to set up if you are a techy. I'm not a techy and its wasn't that hard for me at all. I must say the print quality is superb. As I continue using the all in one printer I will send another review. Thanks and again so far so good...

Just got my ET-4550 setup and ready to use

The setup was novel, given that I have never had an EcoTank before. Loved it! I did use gloves, wore an apron, and put plastic under the printer -- just in case. Installing wifi was smooth, as was installing the drivers. Instructions were great! I have tested the print quality just a little. As far as I can tell, this may be the best print quality I have ever obtained. I am delighted!!!
