Great Starter...needs improvements

Upon opening the box, the setup to this was easier then on the ET-2700. I think having the screen made it easier. Speaking of screen, it is a plus and it makes setting up copy and scan jobs easier. I just really wish they could've made the screen a bit bigger. My husband and I both had issues touching the buttons in the corner of the touchscreen without touching a different button. There is so much extra space on the front, it could've at least been a little wider.
I like the quiet mode option, I can still continue to print after my infant daughter is sleep and it doesn't scare her awake. The paper tray is a plus and it's great that there is a full tray for completed jobs. Copier is crystal clear, didn't have to re-scan anything. There were sometimes where I was trying to print something and I kept getting a error for no reason, I don't know if it was me or the printer, because my husband never had an issue. I'd just cancel the job, restart the machine and try again and there wasn't a problem. I didn't attempt to print from my phone this time, only because my phone can only be wirelessly linked to the printer or the WiFi but not both, I don't think that's a design flaw on Epson's part, it's probably my phone. But overall, I've enjoyed and will continue to enjoy the work this printer does for me, not bad for a small office printer. This is a review for the Epson WorkForce ET-4750 EcoTank All-in-One Printer that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review.

Stop worrying about running low on ink
on January 24, 2016

Purchased this printer primarily for the extended ink capacity and it's promise to come with enough ink for a year. The ink tanks and bottles of ink make so much more sense than stocking up on in cartridges. Haven't owned long enough to judge the longevity of ink but looks promising.
Print quality is excellent. Print speed in color and black and white is also excellent. The setup is a little awkward. You need to tell it what kind and size of paper is in it and if you try to print something that doesn't match the printer will not print and wait for you to acknowledge on printer itself. Kind of a pain if it's not near you.
Still can't figure out if it prints borderless prints. This is another reason I purchased it. In what I read it seems like it is supposed to but for the life of me I have not been able to print borderless 8.5x11.
Scan speed is a little slow but adequate. I have the Epson 560 so I really only use this for flatbed.
All in all great option.

Setup

This is the most difficult printer to setup. Not connecting, not communicating it is the LED screen. You can't seem to move past one screen to get to the next.
You click OK and it changes the choice. Very old screen setup, push the alphanumeric key 3 times for the letter C, switch screens and press the same key for a number 2, then switch screen back to alphabet.
Cant get to use it as a copier because I can't get past the setup and I have been working with computers and printers for over 20 years.
I hope it works better than the setup screen.

ET-4550 EcoTank All-in-One Printerr

Where to start? I was very excited at first to get this printer because of the EcoTank. I'm very happy with not running out of ink so quickly but this printer is not the quality I expected for the money i paid. My older, All-in-One printer, is superior in quality and user friendliness. Except for running out of ink too fast, my old printer is superior in every way and it was very inexpensive; It's better quality in construction and much easier to use to clarify plus it came with a manual and CD. The ET-4550 isn't user friendly and didn't come with a manual but it did come with a CD. The CD did not explain the features of this printer. I've had to figure out how to use the fax by trial and error plus this printer gets paper jammed too easily and does not have some features I need. If it does, I haven't found them yet. I'm not at all happy with this printer and I'm very disappointed in the quality for the price as I stated!! Obviously, I'm not shy of paying a good deal of money for a quality piece of equipment. Unfortunately, I lost on this printer. I'm keeping it just for the Eco-Tank and this is an expensive keep just for the luxury of not running out of ink. Sorry, but you asked for my opinion and I gave it.

Excellent Product

I found the Epson EcoTank series while searching for a replacement for my last printer. I am quite impressed with it so far- easy to use and set up, lightweight compared to others in it's class, no hassles with aggravating little touch screens that typically are difficult to see and finicky when you have to touch them, larger print easy to see buttons, INEXPENSIVE INK (can't emphasize that enough), excellent customer service, great print quality...you won't be disappointed. Well worth the extra that this printer may cost you over cartridge based all-in-one printers. It will pay for itself in the money you save on ink! I have only owned it for a short while, but the printer seems sturdy and well built- I don't see my opinion of it changing much at all in the future.

I am still trying to LOVE my Epson and for the most part, I do. When I make 8x10 portraits with a dark background, I get a series of lines about an inch apart covering the entire portrait. I have cleaned the heads as instructed. When I have a lighter colored background, the lines do not appear as noticeable and when I am printing document, they are not detectable. However, much of the work I do is on old portraits which unfortunately have dark backgrounds. If I can solve this, I will be a VERY happy user. I love the ink system and the amount of ink I use. It is very cost efficient to run and I am prepared to send a GLOWING review if I can only solve this one issue.

Epson Workforce ET-4550 Eco Tank
on May 1, 2016

I love this printer, it prints really clear. I make a lot of greeting cards for my family and this printer makes it so much easier. My old printer when I was printing a greeting card I would have to take the paper out after one side had printed and turn it over to print the other side. With the workforce all I have to do is go into the printer properties and turn on the two sided and the printer does it automatically. Already I have saved a lot of money with this printer. Some times with my old printer when I turned the page over it would print wrong so I would have to reprint, with the workforce every card I have made so far has come out right the first time. Also it uses less ink than my old printer, I love it. I just hope if this one ever wears out like my old one did, I hope you are still making printers like this one. I love the Eco Tank it definitely saves me money. I will definitely recommend this printer!

Wonderful Printer

The only problem I have had with the printer is after I go a week or maybe 10 days, I have horizontal lines on all my pages especially with graphics. When I clean the print heads, that seems to solve the problem.
