DRY INK!
on November 14, 2015
Posted by: Anonymous
Bought this printer for the obvious reasons. But.....................the ink will dry in the nozzles in 2 days! (Mile High Colorado). So every time I want to bring, I have to run a nozzle clean. Unable to find an app for Mac to automatically run this utility. What are all you other users doing? I know your ink has to be drying up also.

The ink is easy to fill and containers are labeled well and fool proof. The cost of replacement ink is very reasonable. I bought the printer because I couldn't afford to buy cartridges for other models to do all the color booklet copying I needed for my new classroom reading program. Copies are clear and the auto double sided features are wonderful. The online controls are easy to use but the buttons on the front of the copier are very confusing and frustrating to use. The paper cassette feels cheaply made and could certainly hold more paper. It is much noisier than any printer I have ever owned before and there have been about a dozen of various brands.

Compact package shortcut missing

This AIO is quite compact and works well. I'm surprised that the software didn't set up a desktop shortcut, especially for scans. I am having a time setting this up under Win10.

build quality did not seem to be up to epson quality standards... after 30 pages of printing ... print heads became impossible to get cleaned ... ruined many pages and sheets of photo paper. Concept idea of continuous ink is good, but quality needs to be improved roved.

I bought the product to save money on ink for my business. I was disappointed that it will not auto-feed paperwork for scanning without mess ups every time. It has good quality of pictures/printing, but after refilling the ink well we had to clean it three times before it would work properly again. A lot of extra steps are needed for every procedure and printing off 45 two-sided color bulletins requires at least 45 minutes. It is not user-friendly. Love the cost of ink, but generally frustrated with my printer.

I've had this ET4550 less than a week. Set up left a lot of Questions. Finally did a download of user guide All 296 pages. to find out how to use set up keys, still trying to figure out how change over to print 4x6 prints. Had a HP7200 before with double trays ,one for 4x6 and one for 8x10 so easy. Allan Fraser

Quality All-In-One Printer
on November 8, 2017

I have 3 different all-in-one printers. The other two printers are from a different manufacturer. I am comparing the Epson ET-4750 against the other printers I have. The 4750 is a good printer. It’s not great, but good. The printer is designed for a home office or a small business.
Setup was easy and straightforward. Print quality is good and the device prints fairly quickly. The printer comes with a very basic quick-start guide. In-depth instructions are found online. I have tested all of the printer’s functionality with the exception of the fax. Faxing technology has been around for a very long time so I have no doubt Epson has the feature working as designed.
Pros: - Compact design. - Super simple ink refilling. - Good color printing when using quality inkjet paper. - Tablet and smartphone printing capability. - Duplex printing. - Sizable paper tray.
Cons: - Only supports 2.4 GHz wireless. All of my wireless devices use 5 GHz so I had to enable 2.4 GHz on my router just for this printer. - LCD screen is small and can be somewhat hard to see. - No front facing USB. This is a nit-pick on my part but I like to be able scan documents directly to a flash drive on occasion. Other printers I own have this capability. - I think the retail price point is a little high compared to similar printers.
Overall I would recommend this printer. I have done quite a bit of printing with it and I am happy with the quality and speed. My favorite feature is the EcoTank. The colors are very easy to fill and eliminates cartridges which I can’t stand. If you need a decent all-in-one color printer you can’t go wrong with this model. This is a review for the Epson WorkForce ET-4750 EcoTank All-in-One Printer that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review.

Does Not Have Rear Paper Feed
on May 6, 2016

We just unpacked the printer and it does not have a rear paper feed. About half of our prints are on card stock that is too thick to run through the paper cassette. The document feeder mentioned in the description is for the scanner only.
