I was spending too much on ink cartridges on my old printer. This printer is a great ink saver.

Difficult to Setup / Terrible Start Here Manual
on February 26, 2018
Posted by: Tried 5 times to setup
from Los Angeles, CA, USA
Printer with ink and tapes removed, setup date time couple times, could not get the print to "charge" ink! Manual does not mention how to get the "Charging Ink" started. The small touch screen keeps on telling you to read the "Start Here" on how to initialize and I keep on seeing the new firmware, but not the button to start charging the ink. Finally stumble on to get the charging by touching the touch screen at random spot.
Don't understand why could they make the ink charging a simpler process. Bet a lot people return the product because they could not get the printer to print on the first try.
Don't except laser qualify, because it's not. Black not as crisp as the laser printer.
I would recommend this to a friend!

The ET-4750 is a great AOI printer with one small problem.

We have had this printer for over a month now and have used it extensively. We became tired of the hassle and expense of ink cartridges and when our old printer went bad, we decided to try a tank printer. The ET-4750 seemed to be the best value. Only time will prove or disprove the advantages of the tank printer and whether it was worth the premium price we had to pay. I do have one major complaint about the printer, though. The little information screen is much too small and the font size and the keypad is so tiny that I have trouble working with it. I sent a fax with it just today and had to use a flashlight to enter the phone number. In the interest of full disclosure, I am seventy-one years old with macular degeneration and glaucoma, which cause me trouble with smartphones, tablets, and printer interfaces! Is there a program available to operate the ET-4750's fax through my desktop with its 32 inch monitor? That would make it change from a printer with faults to a great printer!!!

I just got this and it has almost won the fight....I'm not sure if I'm going to take it back yet, the scan is sooooo slow, 8 pages a min is what I was told more like your lucky if you get two a min. The wireless is acting up, not on my end....5 more day and I'll make the call to keep or defeat!

Ouch!

I liked the idea of a all purpose printer and the ability to hold more ink. Set it up, filled the ink tanks and went online to download the latest drivers. Turned the printer on and got a scanner error 11. Restart and got the same error. Called Epson tech support and he said they would send me a new one. Not sure I want one now but will give it one more try. I'll let you know how the next one works.......
