Uses less expensive ink. Instructions on filling tanks not clear. Get 2 bottle sets of each ink (if I remember) but tanks only hold one apparently. Disappointed that there are no drivers for use with earlier Microsoft operating systems prior to Vista.
could not get drivers for a Vista Pc that did not have internet access... also a bummer.

I can't believe you came up with this awesome printer with a continuous ink system. Your the first and others will follow. This is fantastic, the only problem is where is the dvd print? I want a printer with the ability to print on cds and dvds. what a sacrafice!!!! We want that option!!!

Great idea - Not great execution

I bought this printer 10 months ago because I thought it was a great idea: ink tanks instead of expensive ink cartridges. One mistake I made: I was distracted when filling the tanks and put the wrong color ink in the wrong tank. Big mistake. There is no fix for this. Printer is ruined. Epson did take it back and replaced it with a new one. My bad. Well the new one was working fine - moderate use - but after a mere ten months will no longer print in color. I have no idea what the problem is. The print heads? The tubes jammed? How should I know? I don't think a printer should fail after a mere 10 months. What a bummer. What a waste.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The ink (violet) seal was a little harder to get off than the others and when it finally came off...........Well, I now have pink fingers. Really PINK.

We had this printer less than 30 days. It was loud, slow and then broke down. We took it back and did not replace it with a new one.

Too slow on document feed and scan.

Have not been able to use ADF (Document Feeder) to be able to copy moderate to large documents for printing. Have been trying to print the User Manual now for several days and get frustrated and quit because each document page starts off sort-of slow but gets much much slower as the document enters the scanning window to begin the copy process. It took 4 minutes to scan 3 pages and I thought it would never get finished. IT would take a WEEK to print the manual using this printer. This is after I printed the 287 pages on my current printer and thought I could have the eco tank print duplex for me. Sorry but unless I can get some help how to speed this up, I will be forced to return this printer and look for one that will be useable for my needs.
