Great Printing but Awkward to Use

The quality and speed of the printing is great. I love that there is so much ink and I don't have to worry about running out and increased costs. Operation is a bit awkward though as you have to change the settings both on the machine and in your computer when you want to change something like the paper type. The controls on the LCD are not intuitive so there is a bit of a learning curve but once I get used to the procedures I think it will be easier. Also I can't find a setting to print double sided brochures in high quality. Set on plain paper you can print double sided at a lower quality. Set on photo you can only print one side at a time.

I am happy the ink will last, it seemed difficult to start up but was actually fairly simple. I love the quality.

I bought this because I do not like buying print refill cartridges. They run out at the wrong time and expensive. Let's see if your advertising of the design of your ink will last as long as described. So far it prints nicely. Setup was very well described and easy to do.

It is so nice to not have to keep extra cartridges handy when colors start to fail! Setup was very simple and easy, thank you. Prints seem very good quality.

ET-4550 step up on printing

Purchase the ET-4450 to replace my WT-3540 printer.
Looking forward to the new printer ink technology that is now available in the ET-4450. Hugh increase in number of prints over the previous generation of ink cartridge generation of printers.

Good, but not what I really needed.

I made the mistake of buying an inkjet when I should have bought a laser. I was attracted by the 10000 pages of print before refilling ink. My application however was to run large print jobs... 300+ double sided pages at a time. It is entirely too slow and the paper capacity is too small. Also, had a lot of trouble printing on envelopes. Can only put 10-15 envelopes in at a time and experienced multiple jams. (I just didn't understand the differences between laser and inkjet prior to making the purchase.) It does print beautiful pictures on photo paper. Results on regular paper are unspectacular. For normal around the house printing, I think this printer is a great buy. I like the concept a lot. Its just not sufficient for what I was trying to do.
