The printer was beautifully save guarded and well packaged in its shipping container. The instructions of operation where well represented.
And the optional choice of Wireless or Hard wire connection was well received. I like the idea of the larger ink wells and the individual bottles to fill each one. Its a little expensive.

After searching through many printers that were or are being offered on the net and in stores, and using many of them over the years, I came to the conclusion that my 37 years of experience with printers until now, pointed me to the ET-4500. It was obvious from the time I got it until now, several weeks later, that the folks at Epson have gone to great heights to make sure that this product was easy to handle, setup and efficient. Even the way it arrived, carefully packed, indicated that you folks took great pride in producing a superior product. Kudos!

Your setup process is lame

-The process for setting up this printer is very unclear, with multiple chances to run out of time (4 minutes ! Really ?).
- It takes longer than 4 minutes to figure out your dopey printer interface to enter your router password.
- Installing required 3 or 4 attempts to finally get it going.

I was very surprised to find out that this very expensive printer didn't have OCR capability, the printer is slow, the paper tray is poorly designed and doesn't hold enough paper for a business use, it has on several occasions left big black blotches on my letter head and envelopes.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I actually bought this a year and a half ago. My computer crashed and I lost everything downloaded. So, I had to reinstall my printer. I have been disappointed in the quality of color, the ease of use, etc. Perhaps I am too old to enjoy all of the features, but it seems like I have to do maintenance on this printer more than others I have had. I do like the ink tanks because I have only had to buy ink once.
But, I'm not sure this printer is worth the price.
