Printer swap

We bought the little inexpensive Epson just for its color printing, as an inexpensive backup to our big B&W laser 3-in-one from another manufacturer. Now, after several weeks with the Epson, we're so happy with it that we're considering swapping the locations of our two printers, and making the Epson our default.

Good Printer

I had an Epson 800 for years. It broke and had to get a new one. The Epson XP-830 is the upgrade for the XP-800. The bad thing is the ink from the 800 will not work in the 830. Everything is the same outside of the ink.

Easy effortless setup. Tray system was a little different and took some experimenting to figure out. Better illustrations in the instructions would have helped with that.

Wireless set up was easy. Firmware updates have been coming in well. Was able to set up a PC laptop, Apple laptop and an Ipad. Like the individual inks.

Epson XP-830 Printer

I purchased this printer to replace my failing printer which I had for several years. I found this printer to be quite easy to install and use. The wifi configuration quite stable and permits access from other devices. The multi-sheet feed for copying is a great improvement over my earlier printer, which was one sheet at a time feed manually. The photo print quality is significantly better than the previous printer. I would highly recommend this printer to a friend, without reservation.

Great Product

This printer is very useful for a home multi-purpose printer. It is fast and very convenient. I use it to print letters, general copying and printing on CDs. Very happy with the ease and results.

The printer was a gift from my grandson. Was a little difficult for me to network with my phone and tablet. I love the pictures..it scans and copies well. Still can't get it to print from my laptop. Laptop says it is registered and networked but still won't print wireless from it.I'm a little stubborn so dont ask for help lol

I purchased this printer in November 2015 and I am little disappointed with this printer. There aren't as many paper options as I like. I do quite a lot of printing on transparencies and there is not a setting for transparencies. When one of the ink cartridges starts running low, it tells you to replace the cartridge and won't print again until you do. The pictures don't come out light or missing that color. I can't even print in magenta until I change the black ink. And the pictures print darker then I expect them to. I have had a number of paper jams in it, which is very frustrating, but also being able to take the back of it off makes it easy to unjam it. I haven't tried connecting to WiFi yet.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
