Best all-in-one

This is the best scanner/inkjet printer I have ever own and the first Epson. I am so surprised, after having other name brand all-in-one printers, at how awesome it scans and prints. Text printing is as good as laser. The photo printing is commercial quality even right from the scanner. The ink cartridge prices are very reasonable and seem to last longer than others I have used. I just can't say enough good things about it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Expression Premium XP-830

This is a great little AIW printer. In the several months since acquisition and installation I have printed numerous plain paper and 4x6 color photos, all with good results, as well as copied and scanned a large number of pages and again all with good results. I have not yet used the fax function but the others are great. It is small, relatively quiet, easy to set up, easy to use, and produces good results.
One minor criticism surrounds the instructions for changing ink cartridges. This is about the 6th Epson printer I have owned and I believe it is the first that requires input to position the carrier mechanically in order to change ink. It took this old dog a few minutes to learn the new trick.

Why the Epson XP-830

I updated from the Artisian 835 because I wanted consistent quality photo printing which I could never count on with this model. With the XP-830 I am printing gorgeous color photos for myself and my family to enjoy. The only downside is that after 20 8x10s, a few 4x6s and, 1 month of billing and payroll--all in black and white, my ink cartridges were empty. :-( That resulted in very expensive printing! I guess the model that comes loaded with enough ink for 2 years may have been a better buy.

Pretty good

I've had 2 of this model. I purchased one primarily to print DVD labels and to serve as a backup printer. The first one broke down 9 days following purchase after printing about 40 DVD labels, but it was replaced THE SAME DAY without hassle by the retailer. The second machine has worked flawlessly printing on both paper and labeling printable DVDs. I am very satisfied with price vs. quality.

Easy to set up wireless features. It may have taken longer to open the box and unpack it than set it up! Works very well with iPhones, iPads and MacBook Airs. I haven't needed ink yet, I hope it is economical to use. Automatic two sided printing is really nice and works like a charm. Print speed is outstanding. We did not register the printer for Internet printing ( we don"t need it), but I'm sure that feature works well and is easy to set up also.

This all-in one printer is great for home office. I use it for coping documents and it is so easy, just plug in a flash drive and copy directly to it or print a copy. As a printer it works great, fast and easy to use.
