Ink lasts & best price for quantity + quality printing

My family has professional photographers and we print with Epson printers ONLY. Other printers may be cheaper, but the ink is expensive. These printers work on and on and on, with quality printing, whether printing papers or photos. They are more versatile than other printers with more settings and options. The set up is easy. I have never been disappointed with an Epson.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Always Scanner Issues

Got this printer as a replacement for the XP-820 I had that quit working after 1 year. Having a terrible time with the scanner never wanting to work and the retractable paper tray has already quit working after just 1 month. I work from home and scanning is crucial for me. This sucks! Uses way more ink than I could ever imagine and I'm not printing pictures, just paperwork. Went on line to troubleshoot the scanner problem and came out with nothing. Still won't work. This is my last Epson. Soooo disappointed! I had Epsons years ago and loved them. Not anymore.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Owned for 3 months. Great print quality, especially photos. Scanner works great. Haven't tried the fax yet. No regrets with this printer.

I bought this printer about 2 months ago it prints everything I throw at it, including cd/dvd's this option does not do as good as there artisan 835 this was so simple to print cd/dvd's

Great small -in-one for the price

This is my 3d Epson printer in 15 years. My XP 800 simple wore out after 6 years of constant use. It is so easy to set up and use and has great features such as 2 sided printing, and printing to CD/DVD. The photo quality is nice and clear and sharp when using Epson paper and also a store brand. Ink is a little pricey, but I learned to live with that with my first 2 printers. My only 2 complaints are that if one of the 3 colors runs out you can't` print. If black runs out you are given options though. Also this 830 opens and closes on it`s own, which slows printing down a bit. I liked that the 800 you had to open and close it by hand . Other than that it is a great little printer.

Great all-around printer but...

This printer has met all of my expectations with the exception of one big one...
The printer repeatedly and without fail loses wireless connection when not used for a period of time. This happens just about every day and I have to cycle the power to get it to reconnect. Once done, all is good until the next time it loses its mind. I like the picture quality and the other features but the wireless issue is just about a show stopper. This happens regardless of the device I am printing from. Based upon what I have found online, I see this is not an isolated issue - other users have reported the same. Here's to hoping that Epson will stand by their product and offer up some sort of fix - otherwise I will be taking this back to the store and see if they will allow me to return it since it is beyond the return period.

The front panel opens and closes at random times.

1. The front panel needs to be opened or closed manually at random times instead of it doing so automatically. 2. Interaction with the printer can be done with the front panel but it'd be nice to have one gui interface for all printer functions instead of multiple windows to open for each function.

Easy Setup - Great Printer

Bought this for Christmas, just set it up. Setup was easy with no problems. I have yet to print out photos and print copies but I am sure that they will be good. I will add another review in a few weeks
