JUST BOUGHT THIS EPSON XP-830 AND AM REALLY GLAD I DID!!!
LOVE THAT IT ALSO HAS A CD/DVD PRINTER FEATURE! WILL BE USING THIS OFTEN,AND EVERYTHING IS WORKING AS IT SHOULD.AM REALLY IMPRESSED!!! HAVE TALKED THE IT DEPT TECH INTO UPGRADING HIS EPSON ALSO!!! THANK YOU!!!!!

Excellent for pictures, difficult for documents.

I do not like all the time it takes to reset all the parameters when I want to scan a document into PDF. There should be a way that one can click on a button for a PDF and all the preset scanning parameters would be there. I had to buy a separate scanner for PDFs because of all the time it took me to switch back and forth. It would not print labels. It insisted on putting them on a 4 x 6" photo paper. I took the photo paper tray out to try to force it to use the document tray and then it would not print at all. It is not an all-in-one. I would have never bought it if I knew that it only is good for pictures. All-in-ones that I have used over the last ten years, made by a different company, were easy for me to operate. This brand was recommended to me by someone who uses it almost exclusively for pictures.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought this as a replacement and it works very well. I think the ink is a little expensive and not all office supply places carry them. I do like the fact that I can just replace whatever color I run out of without having to replace them all. I have had Epson printers in the past for that reason.

I did a lot of research before I bought this printer. This seemed to have everything I wanted for a printer, and it was very highly rated in all the articles I looked at. As it turns out, it really is the perfect printer for me, plus I am discovering a lot of new features I didn't even realize it had. One of the main things I like about it is how easy it is to click on the correct letter/icon I want and it actually works! My last printer (also highly rated) was so difficult to do that, I usually just gave up without finishing what I wanted to do. Thank you Epson.

Beautiful picture quality

At a recent 80th birthday celebration, we had on display a professional family photo for guests to sign on the mat. Someone drew a circle on the actual picture. We had another original which I copied on my new printer. It was hard to tell which was the original.
