Meets Expectations

I bought this printer as a second printer. I find that it performs as expected based on reviews I read before purchasing. It is al ittle slow, a little noisy, takes a little while to feed the first sheet and has a small tray for paper. But, for the price I feel the features like automatic duplexing, automatic sheet feeder, automatic opening and closing of the output tray, quality of print and is a 4 in 1 as opposed to 3 in 1 which is what others in the price range offer make it a great buy and I recommend it highly.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I've only owned this XP 830 Printer for a week so I'm still learning all the fine points but haven't found anything but really impressive features! The color photos are vivid,crisp,beautiful! I recommend this printer to anyone looking for quality at a great price! I had no trouble setting it up and running it wirelessly as I do also with my pc.I recommend anyone reading this to go directly to an Epson Printer dealer and buy this product!!!You'll love spending time on creative new projects and being surprised with what this printer can do.BUY AND ENJOY!!!!!

I have been an EPSON user for over twenty years. I admit that my next to last printer was another brand. I gave in to the temptation of slick advertising on Brand "X" and cam back home to Epson . I will never leave again.
The ink management, simplicity of Operation, Great Software and constant software updates (when appropriate) will have you asking yourself why you ever bought any other brand. Their DVD/CD label print software and ability are unsurpassed.

Disappointed in duty cycle

I purchased the xp-830 to replace an old and tired c88. After 3 months of use it is having trouble with the rear feed loading the paper the correct distance in to start printing and after 5 or 6 pages in 5 minutes it goes thru long pauses where the lcd says 'printing'. Eventually it will print the next page. 90% of the printing has been with the rear feed. Since we have printed 500-600 pages in the last 3 months I assume we have over worked the printer. The web site does not mention duty cycle for this printer so i would not have known if it could handle the work load. The printer does print quite well when it is working.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Just what we needed.

Bought this for our home and it works perfectly. Easy to set up and easy to update. Most importantly it is easy for all our devices to connect to and then print or scan! Print and scan quality is very good too.

Just bought today as we had a wireless printer prior and it never stayed connected to the internet. So went to get this printer and works great so far.

I hope I continue to feel this good about the product. Found the quality excellent and the setup remarkably straightforward. Printing so far is fine for my purpose. Have not yet tried all the features.
