Not recommeded for prining CD/DVD's

This printer works well with everything but printing CD/DVD's unlike the previous Epson 730 where you had a removable tray that you could load a DVD in quickly, let it print on the DVD while you did other work then reach over pull out the DVD just printed and put in new blank DVD. this 830 does no make it so easy at all. It is far more timer consuming to print a dvd
It takes some study and time to figure out how to use the 830 for sure, there are too many options and menus, but once you figure out how to do what you want and what options you need it is OK. But if you need to print 12 DVD's quickly use the Epson 730.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Not worth it!

I wanted to like this printer because the price and the features sounded great. However, I have had nothing but problems in the few months I've owned it and all the trouble shooting via the installation disc and online services or the user guide have not helped. My computer will only sometimes "find" the printer if I turn the printer off and then back on. Just now I tried to figure out how to scan a receipt to my computer and the printer keeps telling me "Busy, try again later or select another computer." I just reinstalled all the software twice and tried trouble shooting. However, my printer always has full bars to show a strong internet connection. I am ready to discard this printer and try another brand. I am extremely frustrated with it!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The xp 830 seems like a decent machine however I think it could benefit from a larger loading drawer.

I am disappointed, right off the bat, that I cannot print pictures from my pc to the printer. Am I skipping something in the directions? It is not clear for me. At this point, I do not care about printing from any other device. Just from my PC!

Good Printer

Easy to setup. No problems with wifi. My only complaint is the scan to computer function. I use a wireless connection, but the only option is to scan is using usb cable, and I am not using usb cable. A wifi option is not an option. I have reinstalled printer several times, but to no avail.

Epson XP-830 All-in-One Printer

Our previous printer was a Canon All-in-One (I forgot the model). This Epson printer takes up a little less space and overall is doing the job nicely for us. My only complaint is that, unlike the Canon, when you want to print a JPEG photo you don't have the option to just print on plain paper. In some cases I printed a small 'wallet size' picture on plain paper just to see how it looked, rather than using up a 4" x 6" or Matte Photo Paper. So far the only way I can use plain paper with the Epson is by printing a PDF.

This is a great little printer. It handles everything I need including duplex printing and CD/DVD direct printing. I only wish the software for printing onto
CD/DVD's was better. It doesn't allow for printing on a full face CD/DVD. Photo printing is excellent. All in all a five star rating is justified.

Installing the printer was easy and quick. I am only going to be using for school and some work, fits my needs. No problems thus far. Good printer.
