Slow Printing, ink runs out quick.

I bought this about a month ago because I had some printing to do for school work. It did the job but printed VEEEERRY SLOOOOW. I had to sit and wait quite a while as it printed and had to buy new black ink cartridge already with a return because the first one I bought the printer did not recognize it. My color ink is at low levels and will need those soon as well. Other than that it is small and attractive printer that doesnt take up much space. If you dont have much printing to do and only need something for an occasional print I would recommend it. Definitely not for big jobs needed quick.

Easy Set Up

I have had my Epson XP-830 printer for just over a month and it was very easy to set up. The quality of print is very good. One drawback is there seems to be no warning that an ink cartridge needs to be replaced or low. The only way that I found to check levels is to click on the 'display levels' after printing.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Easy Set-up

Look, I get it, most of us want to be born a genius. But 9 out of 10 times products would work best and set-up easily if we read and/or follow the directions that come with them.
Initially, I was manually setting this printer up and it was not co-operating, but when I tried again after taking a break, I let the printer do most of the work then the network and firmware updates and all were done effortlessly within 25 minutes.

Great printer at a great pricepoint

Small footprint with all the features a home or small office would require, as with any printer only negative would be the ink price and replacement.

Extra Gear

I just received this printer and am finishing installation. It would not print paper from cassette 2. I rechecked paper loading and found cassette1 was pushed in. I took it out and cassette 1 appeared O.K., but when I looked into the paper bay, saw a gear. I can print from cassette 2, but get the message "paper out" for cassette 1 when I try to print a picture. This is my third XP printer, so I am familiar with use. My older 820 is smearing ink on all pictures and not printing well on letters, so I ordered this replacement. Please help.

Faithful Epson User Trying Something New

We've been loyal, faithful Epson users since the 90's. Won't get other printers, even when they seem cheaper and more cost effective. LOVE the results we get w/Epson. Last 2 printers have been high end photo printers for use in art career and photo hobby. Switching only because part wore out on Stylus Photo R1800 and haven't taken printer in for repair. Trying this "all in one" though generally not a fan of these but trying for general home use.

Every thing in one?

Purchased a few months ago. Enjoyed air Print for iPhone & iPad. Can print from Windows desktop and fax. Cannot scan docs into computer as I did with my old printer. Also cannot send email from printer. Hard to read manual from computer. Overall like it very much. Multiple ink tanks make unit less costly all in all I give printer an A. But manual a D.
