i don't use it that often but when i do it preforms great without having to do any realigning. its simple to operate and does a great job.

Great product

I have owned the Epson XP-830 for some time now and it has performed flawlessly. I love the way the output table and LCD Control Panel automatically move out of the printer when in use and return inside of the printer when not in use. I also enjoy how easy it is to print directly on CD's and DVD's of on labels for this media. The print quality and wireless printing is also a joy.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Photo printing smudges

A decent paper printer overall but photo printing often fails. First one or two photos printed often have ink smudges around edges. Have tried numerous fixes.

Nice printer

We've been using this all in one printer for about a month now.
It is doing a good job with all our printing needs.
My one big wish with it is scanning. It does a nice job scanning documents. The flat bed scanner and the sheet feed are both nice. It is especially nice to have the ability to scan 2 sides using the sheet feed.
I would like for it to scan pdfs from computer. The only way I've found that I can get pdfs to my computer is via usb drive or by using the printer screen.
I would like to be able to do it while working on my computer without having to insert a usb drive or go to the printer to initiate the job.
Another somewhat annoying thing about the printer is when it sits idle for a while it sometimes disconnects from my wireless network, requiring a quick reboot to get it back online.
Do be aware of the height requirements. You need a shelf that has 12" or more space in order to lift the flat bed scanner to insert documents.

I bought this printer to replace another all-in-on by another manufacturer after reading the reviews. I've used it for a number of months, and I must say it just works well. I use Apple AirPrint. The quality is very good. I use the scanner and copy as well as print. The only thing I haven't done a lot of is print photos, but that feature is important to me. I disagree with the reviewer who says that there is no warning of low ink. I get low ink warnings on my iPad when ink is low, and it is very easy to check ink levels on the printer.. I also always have spare cartridges on hand. I do recommend the XL cartridges. In short, I have no hesitation in recommending this product and would buy it again.

LOVE THE SIZE AND FEATURES AS COMPARED TO MY OLD ARTISAN MODEL. THE ONLY COMPLAINT IS THAT THE FAX DOES NOT WORK WITH VERIZON'S FIOS SERVICE.

I have had this printer for several months. The print quality is good though sometimes the paper is over saturated. It can vary between printing from a computer and then using the scan to copy. The scanning quality is very good but very slow. The printer eats ink. The printer seems to warn you too early about low ink levels which may be a good feature if you do not keep extra cartridges on hand. You definitely need to to this unless you have an office supply place close by. Don't even consider getting this printer without having extra cartridges readily available. I was not impressed with the photos. Too dark, too expensive but good if you need to print one up quickly. I have had some trouble with connectivity at times but I just reconnect with my wifi network. This is not a deal breaker though. The paper trays are a bit flimsy but I have not had trouble with jamming or double sided printing. The paper guide seems to need adjusting each time I add paper. May be an issue in the future. Overall, not impressed and I have been disappointed in the printer.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
