Nice printer!

I had another Epson printer and it no longer would print so I bought this one. I like the printer very well. The problem is the unbelievable cost of the printer ink cartridges. This cost is outrageous!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Mostly works well

I bought this a few months ago and it worked great until now I can't make it print from my tablet or phone. It will still print from my laptop. I can't figure out the problem.

Photographers Best Friend

My wife and I are amateur wildlife photographers and take pride in what we 'shoot'. We have always had an Epson printer and have had the best results over all the competition. When our last one gave out we decided to replace it with 'best'. So we bought the XP-830, and have not regretted it once. The pictures are absolutely the most beautiful color anyone could want.

Planned Obsolescence?

I was in love with this cute little printer, particularly the wireless printing which was super easy to set up. That is until I had to change the ink cartridge. What a frigging nightmare. I was doing it correctly following the directions (really) but it wouldn't accept the new (and I mean new) cartridge. I ended up calling c/s who basically told me to ship it back. It was nearly new. So, I fiddled around some more and finally got it to take (get the cartridges to the middle?). Now I need the colored cartridges replaced and I'm afraid I'll have to go through all that again. Online reviews suggest this is a common issue. Hence my title "Planned Obsolescence?" - is strategy to encourage us to buy new printers every time we need ink?

For the most part I am satisfied with my printer purchase. I'm not sure I have used all the available features at this time. I love being able to print wirelessly and to send items to the cloud. The one negative so far is how quickly I ran out of ink and the high cost of the ink cartridges.

I have used the printer very little since I bought it. It said it was low on ink, and I had to put new cartridges in. I checked the original ones and they were not low.
This is not good.
I would recommend this to a friend!

So far this printer works better than any I have had in the past. Set-up was easy. Wifi printing from phone is very good. I have used the scanner a lot doing photos to digital with zero issues.
