Upgraded version of the XP-800

My EPSON XP-800 worked well for many years but it was time for a new printer. This XP-830 does everything a little better and I am 100% happy with it. I appreciate the quality of the printing (both documents and photos); the ease of scanning and the printer closes itself up when it's turned off. I have no way to validate this, but it seems to use less ink than the XP-800 I've printed at least one page daily for a month and the ink levels are still near half-full. I also have begun using "quiet mode" and the printer is more friendly for home use.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Printer is well-built; fold-in screen and trays when shutting down is a very good feature to reduce space and dust collecting on working components; print speed is very good ; print cartridge load is simple; print quality in both black and white is good for home printer. footprint is great for tight workspace

Had Epson XP-800

The "Ink pad end of service life" message came up for the 2nd time my Epson XP-800. Purchased XP-830 back in November 2017 will be changing out printers today today. Really enjoyed making "Printed DVD" for family and friends Hope the XP-830 works just as will. Thank You

I've been using theXP-830 for several months, and it is providing me all the features I had hoped for. It's reliable, and it ink usage is reasonable. Also, the user interface on the front panel offers easy access to its features. The small foot print is beneficial for the tight area I have for its location on my desktop. I'm surprised at how easily it handles 8x10 single and double-sided jobs as well as 8x14 size jobs.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Easy to use - much better setup than past printers

I helped my husband install his Epson printer a year ago, this was MUCH easier. The only difficulty I had was my laptop reading the CD - so I used the internet to download. My computer hung forever doing the setup, but it looked like I was done so I restarted it and all was good. Now I need to know how I set up my computer/printer to notify me of updates I need to download.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Epson xp 830 speed

Started using copies of bank statements and it takes 50-54 seconds per black/white
