Always the best printer

this is my 4th Epson printer since about 1998 I think. Have 2 old ones that still work, clear print, good color. Had another brand for about 2 mo and gave it away, got a basic Epson, smaller size for use in a motor home. Still the best for pictures and everything else, even cd's. Fast, with no humming and clicking forever before it can print. I recommend Epson.

XP 630

I have owned 3 XP Epson printers, a 610, 620 , and now a new 630. All have produced excellent color prints on both glossy and presentation matte paper. I have had trouble with paper jamming and the following copies creep forward eleimating one border. There have been some copies with a damaged corner.
I do a lot of full page color printing with as much as 37 photos on a page with as much as 91 MB. I am at present printing 450 color pages. I have gone through a lot of ink which is very costly.
When I bought the XP-630 I was not happy with the change from 273XL ink to 410XL ink as I had quite a lot left. I retuned these to Epson, but have not received the replacements as of yet.
I kept upgrading because of problems with the first two, but still kept with Epson because of the beautiful prints. Photography is my biggest hobby for over75 years using all size cameras. I also own an Epson 700 scanner which I highly recommend for scanning 35mm slides. I have 30,000 to go through to add to the 35,000 digital photos in my computer. When printing I therefor need one that gives good color results.

This is an excellent printer. The photo quality is equal to the store.
After researching printers for a couple of weeks including Consumer Reports I am very happy with my XP830. Just blown away with the photo quality.
Very easy to set up via Wi-Fi. on a scale of 1-10 10 being extremely satisfied for price and bang for my buck. I rate it an 11

epson xp 630 review

Start to finish this took less than 30 minutes to set up and print our first document. That includes taking it out of the packaging.Frankly, taking it out of the box was the most difficult issue. I just had to press a few ok on the control panel and watch the printer set itself up.Secondly ,as we are Mac users we had to download the drivers and other software,not an issue,the web site was very clear and easy to use.MOST impressively,once i hit the button the software set the wireless function up without any interference from me.VERY,VERY pleased and happy with this printer,i actually printed a document from the deck which is about 80 feet from the house.Should have bought and used this printer a long time ago.

Tough iMac Setup

Due to poor on screen instructions, drivers did not initially download because I was not connected to wi-fi. Contacted phone support who walked me through the set up very professionally. Thus far I'm pleased with the quality of print, color copies and photos. I also like that the printer is relatively quiet. I don't like that the output tray does not open automatically prior to printing or copying...and that the user guide did not include basic operating instructions! Separate tray for photo paper is a nice feature.

Good quality for small print jobs

I bought this printer for quality and it's size. The quality of print is great, if you only need to print 1 or 2 at a time. Send a multi-page PDF to printer and it stalls half-way through. It is extremely slow to process and cancel prints. Also, not great for media other than plain paper, as it jams up easily. So far, it has only frustrated me.

Trying to connect wirelessly is a nightmare! Please update your driver software so that this step can be completed efficiently and successfully.
