Can't get the scanner to recognize my computer USB connectio

Can't understand why it's clear the printer is connected to the computer - it's in the printer settings. it can print a document from the computer. but scanner? no dice. checked all the scanner settings. the scanner software installed is the latest version. still can't scan. This was the main reason I bought a new printer - because our old printer stopped scanning.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

XP-830 Printer

I have had this printer for several months. All in all I like it. However, each time I want to print a document I have to reset the printer to paper. The setting always shows an envelope setting. I find this very annoying as I rarely print envelopes. I probably should have upgraded. I hope it will work for me since I am in my late 80's and do not anticipate purchasing more printers. I probably would not recommend this printer to a friend since I feel there are more "user friendly" printers on the market.

Excellent Printer for the price

Excellent printer for small business or home. Fairly easy to use, menu can be bit confusing after not having used it for sometime. Scanning some single documents to your iPhone can often take longer than it should. All in all excellent buy for the money!

Excellent All-In-One Printer

We have owned previous Epson printers. The last one we purchased was almost ten (10) years ago. This new printer has all the features, and more. We absolutely love our new investment.

Not impressed with color printing. Lighter colors come out very faint/unreadable.
