Had an Epson printer a few years back, it was not fancy (before fax & scan features), but,it worked long time w/o trouble. Thought I'd try a close competitors color printer.. The ink jet model was a disappointment, tried a laser one, didn't like that either. I've returned to the Epson, XP-830, & so far I'm pleased. It's faster & set up was more simple than the competitors. It may have faults but I haven't seen any yet.. I just wish the print was darker/heavier. Thank-you.

We have gone thru many printers over the years and I just wanted to say that this installation was the best! Instructions were clear, installation proceeded according to instructions and printer worked. Thank you.

A great printer for office and crafting

I have used epson products for years. My last all in one printer, the Artisan 835) was great for my home office but I couldn't do any craft projects with it. The new XP-830 All-in-one has a rear paper feed that takes cardstock beautifully. The printing is crisp, even with small, thin fonts such as Lato Light 11pt. It also prints color beautifully, even on plain paper.

I use it mostly for printing on CD's. and it works great! I've tried 2 other Epson printers that say they print on CD's, but was unable to get either one to print. The 830 series is user friendly and consistent in it's quality When I use it to print on paper I have no worry, it always does what I ask of it. it is simple to go from one to another. I like simple.

Great overall functionality. The photo quality was exceptional. I also enjoyed the ability to print from a PC, iPad and iPhone.
The instructions could have been a little more clear.
The paper trays seem a little more flexible than I would like. Perhaps a more robust plastic in future models?

Meets all expectations

Researched several mult-function printers before I bought this one. Wanted a mult-function with good photo production. The XP - 830 has been a great printer and I enjoy its compact size. I set my printer defaults to black only to conserve on colored ink cost. Print color only when needed. 8 x 10 Paper tray does not hold allot of paper but that does not bother me because I am saving more stuff to .pdf and printing less anyway, thereby saving me $ on ink and paper. Photo quality is exceptional and I really enjoy the printer.

Great printer at affordable price. The pictures resolution is outstanding... Just wish the cartridge had more ink capacity.
