Bad Product

Worked good at first but shortly after using, the ink ran out. Then the last strew was the last update that left my scanner unusable. Worked two hours to get it to work only to have it revert after rebooting.

Not user friendly printer

I have been unhappy with this printer since I purchased it 2 months ago.
The Touch screen is in the way of being able to access the paper tray making it difficult to add or change paper. I don't want to just push it down out of the way for fear of breaking it. I have had Epson printers before with good luck but this one is a dud. I also have a Microsoft word document I have printed many times before but can't now because this printer somehow reads the document as a CD for me to print- don't know what that is about. I'd love to exchange it for a different printer but then I would lose the cost of the ink cartridges.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Physical set up was a snap. Software installation not so much. CD version failed to complete. After a lot of digging around, completed down load from Epson web site.

My Last Epson
on July 29, 2018

I've been an Epson user exclusively for over 20 years. I've owned several and haven't even minded that many didn't last that long. The cost wasn't bad, the quality was okay and they were about the only printer available that could do DVD printing. The printer I had before this one was the Artisan. I got a good 3-4 years from it before it started giving me fits. All of the printers have one thing in common; ink is too expensive and I have no doubt I'm throwing away ink every time I change a cartridge. I only use genuine Epson cartridges as the other ones tend to leak and blotch your printing. That was what ended the Artisan. Every cartridge I'd install it would say was no good and if I got one to work there would be big blobs of ink everywhere. That comes to this terrible printer. I actually had to reinstall Windows 10 just to get it to work. When I finally did almost every time I used it I'd have to do a head cleaning and waste 50% of what the printer would allow me to use. Sill I'd get terrible quality results. Printing photos is a total waste of time. The quality is so bad. The scanner is okay. I've used the fax without too much trouble but printing is awful. Lately when I hit print two pieces of paper come out and it tells me I'm out of paper when the tray is full. I mess with the paper 5-6 times and it will finally realize it's there and print until I need to print another job and then the same thing happens. I loved the way my Artisan tray would expand for legal size paper. This one does as well but not nearly as easy. I've had lots of paper jams with all different kinds of paper. I have threatened on many occasions to take this printer out to the street and throw it into traffic. Every Epson I've bought since I started buying all-in-ones has been worse than the previous. They're cheaper and work less reliability than the last one. So this is it. I'm done with Epson. They're dead to me. I may find other brands as bad but I'm going to give some other company a try. I'm a very tech savvy user. I don't write a lot of bad reviews unless something is really bad. THIS PRINTER IS REALLY BAD!

I bought this printer mainly because it prints on printable dvd's. The scanning is a little slow , but otherwise works great. I can also print from my tablet.
I would recommend this to a friend!
