Bought about 6 weeks ago. Love this printer! It has excellent color. My photos all print out perfectly. The only issue I had was the set up. It took me way to long to get this printer up and running! It was even difficult to find all the packing materials to get them removed! In the past all of Epson printers I have owned (4) have been easily set up. Once set up it is perfect!

I just got this new printer home nd was waiting to start to pull my hair out due to having to set it up at home on my own. As you've probably already guessed, I don't do electronics well..... this was so easy and flawless. I finished with in a 1/2 hour and EVERYTHING WORKED the first time. WOW

Had to re-install the driver, but very easy. Got one error message about driver, but seems to be running OK.

Purchased the printer ca. 2 months back. So far, have just used it for printing/scanning. Everything has worked fine for me. Did not realise the problem with th low level warning pointed out...i always check ink levels before starting on a large printing project, so this will not effect me too much.

Granted, I just set up the printer, but find it solid, sleek and versatile. I expected to commit hours to auto wireless set up but did not have any complications -- and I am not tech savvy. I did have a slow moment when I realized I had to have the USB plugged in before the wireless feature could be auto connect. Hope our love story with Epson continues.

We had formerly owned another Epson photo printer, which served us very well for over 10 years until needing to be replaced because the printer cartridges were no longer sold. I dreaded having to set up a different printer and this one sat in the box for about 2 months until an emergency need arose. It actually took only about 15 minutes to unpack and set up, and now I can print wirelessly, scan documents, and make color copies. It's a dream to use and the print quality is excellent. We've had it for about 4 months now and I am hoping it will last 10 years like its predecessor.

Easy & Beautiful Output

I just finished setting up the printer. The setup was very easy. I especially liked the feature where it automatically connected to my network with just a few clicks for option selections. However, I do have a concern: I purchased the printer because of the review on Consumer Report and we needed a new printer because the software was no longer being updated for the OS-X releases. So imagine my consternation when I began the install from the CD that came with my new printer, and up popped a warning that the software was not optimized for OS-X 10.13.6. I was taken to an Apple web page that said the software was written for 32-bit systems, and Apple is in the process of upgrading its systems for 64-bits. I am now concerned that my new printer will no longer work with our Macs in a few years as the OS-X releases continue. I sincerely hope that Epson will keep the XP-830 in step with OS-X
