Just what I needed

I already had a cool printer but I needed an all-in-one at home that could scan large amounts of documents...so I didn't have to go to work to do that. This little device is able to help me be productive at home. If you plan to scan a hundred pages, it will take a while; it's not as fast as the commercial scanner you probably have at work. But hey, you can stay home and multitask.

Works Fine for Small Jobs

Besides having a factory defect & needing to be replaced within the first month at Epson's expense, this printer is fine if you just need to copy one page at a time. I am upgrading to an auto-feeder because the copy & scan feature on this model is too tedious if you have multi-page documents.

New Printer

This printer has a lot of features that I like, however setting this up has way to many steps and plus, I had to purchase additional cords for the printer. Ill have to come back to do another review later.
This is the first day of set-up and it was difficult.

Overall great printer

This printer is great for everyday tasks and performance. It is fast and efficient and holds the expectations well of the Epson name. Though the ink can go a little quick, that is to be expected, especially when printing high res photos which I do often for my side job of photography. The only negative I have is that when printing images from Photoshop or Lightroom (or really anywhere), the prints always come out a little red. After researching and testing out a lot of color management settings I have still not been able to correct the issue. After a while you get used to it and make adjustments as needed but there is definitely a color management issue between printer and computer/applications and the print never comes out exactly true to color. That being said, the quality of the prints are great for a printer in this range. Just make sure you have the right paper or you will run into issues. I purchased the Epson premium paper and it works and looks amazing with a lot of detail. Overall, I would recommend this printer to anyone for the price and quality of machine.

Consumer Reports stated that this computer has better than average picture quality there fore I purchased it when my HP failed. This Epson seems a little more complicated than my HP and functionality is hampered somewhat when I want to print only a few pages of a many paged document. This could be something I am doing and not the printer's fault.

The Joys of Epsom: Epson XP-630
on September 13, 2016

After my much-used Epson XP-600 reached terminal status (the"ink Pad" was full and could not be replaced) I purchased its successor, the XP 630. From its installation (the wireless connection practically set itself up!) to the printing of photos, documents, and posters, it works very well, with clear images, balanced colour, and quick printing. One feature of the XP-600 which I was happy to see continued on the XP-630 is the ability to print labels on CDs/DVDs. I have not used this feature on the new machine, but look forward to using it as needed. The addition of a second tray for different paper size is a good idea. The reminder - after loading new paper - to check the position of the paper in relation to the guide at the front of the tray is helpful. Scanning images is easy and precise results appear.
I work with several small historical societies, recording and producing graphic images, and find this printer to be a very helpful asset. It is accurate and reliable.

Excellent Product

I am so pleased with my Epson printer. It is far superior to my last one, and much less expensive. It is high quality in a compact package. Once you learn how to use it, it is a pleasure to run. First, its reproduction quality, both with documents and photographs, is top notch, crystal clear. Second, like a straight copier, you can load a much larger quantity of paper -- what a blessing! Also, the touch-screen controls are easy to use. Overall, I would give this all-in-one a 10 out of 10.
