Great photo prints

My XP-620 failed after 8 months so I purchased a new XP-630 because I like the quality of the photo prints. OfficeMax said that my XP-620 was warranted for only three months. I am very happy with my XP-630!

This printer does professional copies or printing and takes up only a slight amount of space. I'd recommend this to anyone for home or small office.

Loved the setup of this little printer -- very quick and easy. On my Part. The self configure it does takes 7 to 10 minutes (and it warns you that it will)... Prints great!

I've used Epson printers for a long time. I really like this product in particular. Imaging is sharp in printing black and white or in color. When copying and it's color. The color is almost exactly like the picture. So close it's great. Love this product!!

Satisfied, so far!

I have had the printer for only two days so far, but I am very happy with the setup, ease of use, versatility and quality of output. Setup took about an hour, but only because I decided to investigate network setup using Epson's informative video. I set up the printer by downloading the s/w from the Epson website - simple. I've printed docs and photos using both cassettes, and I've used the doc feeder for scanning. Scanning directly to my computers worked great. I say computers because I've loaded the drivers on my desktop and laptop. I also printed from my iPhone using AirPrint and it worked right out of the box.
I'm very happy with the photo quality, even using another printer company's paper. I just ordered some Ultra Premium photo paper from Epson after getting an email advertising a 40%-off sale. Most of my photo work is printed via Photoshop Elements, and I typically use the "Advanced setup" button in the print function, which brings up the menus described in the Epson user manual.
I like the user interface on the control panel, and the s/w from the computer with Win 10 is reasonably straight-forward, even after coming from another brand of printer for the last couple of decades. I especially like that I can have 4x6 photo paper loaded separately from the plain paper. The CD/DVD printer is an added bonus for me since I do a fair amount of DVD creation.
I'm well aware of how printers eat ink. Since it is now the holiday season, I'll be putting the printer to the real test as I print my double-sided 8.5x11 matte presentation paper photo "greeting card" for family and friends. You can be sure that I will take advantage of ink sales to have a backup supply on hand. I may be updating this review after that time.
So, overall, given the ease of setup, versatility, small footprint and functionality, I am quite satisfied so far. Time will tell...

New Home Printer

Just purchased this printer. Our XP-820 wireless card failed and it was replaced with this newer XP-830. The printer looks and feels just the XP-820 so far. The installation CD was more sophisticated and thorough. It took an extra attempt to get the wireless card working but it could have been operator error. I was surprised the firmware was not the most current. It recognized that and updated itself immediately. It went exactly as indicated. The whole installation process took approximately 45 minutes (a little more time than I anticipated).
I just printed off two Visio drawings and was pleased with the quality. I'll report back in a month an update.

Software is useless
on February 1, 2017
Posted by: gtrip89
I have spent the last day trying to make the software recognize the fact that my printer is on the network to no avail. For whatever reason the software refuses to acknowledge the fact that the printer is in fact connected to my network. As proof that it is I am able to print things off and it is visible to me in the Devices and Printers. The printer is good but the software is garbage. If you buy it don't bother with the set-up disk. Save yourself the headache.
