Lot of features, flimsy h/w, fairly easy setup

Given Epson's restraints about what I can and can't say in this review, let me simply tell you that it takes a little effort to get it working, but the features are nice even if the hardware is flimsy. B- product.

Epson XP-830 OK But Not Great

I have to thank Epson for having a tech team to guide me through the installation. I was not able to do it myself, and wound up having to use a hard wired connection. I have a 5G wireless connection and even though the salesperson in a big, well known electronics store told me it was do-able, when I got the machine Epson told me it wasn't do-able to connect to a 5G system.
The biggest con with this machine is the placement of the paper drawers. Very cramped and hard to access.
I bought the machine mostly for printing 8x10 photos and only did a couple so far. I print from Photos app on a Mac. I find the quality to be just ok and not great.
I have also scanned and faxed and that seems ok as well. It's a functional machine, but not exciting.
I hope to have better news to print in the future as I begin to use it more.

Just hooked the 630 up as a 9yr old HP died, and like the size and features. Installation Instructions need to be much more clear. Had to fiddle around to figure things out, and took my time. Still not sure about a couple things and will check website. Hoping I can get the wireless piece set up without issues.
I would recommend this to a friend!
