Great Printer

Just purchased the XP 830 printer and put it thru its paces and this printer is "Awesome". The print quality is second to none. Color photo printing is outstanding. Fast black and white printing and super fast delivery, in fact it was a day earlier than estimated. I like the paper catch tray that comes out automatically and goes back in with a touch of a button. It is actually better than expected. Way to go Epson!!

buy only if you can afford it

I have used Epson for years but now I'm not so sure I will stick with it. It goes through ink like water. It messes up my pages most of the time unless I clean the print nozzles which uses up more ink. I bought it because I print a lot on dvd's and it is easy to use for that. However, I usually have to print 2 or 3 to get 1 usable one. It is also very slow in printing. In a world where most electronics move quickly, this one does not. I use it because this is what is provided to me through my work place. Otherwise, I'd trash it and find something else. When it does work, it looks good and that is why I gave it 2 stars.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Banding

I bought this printer a year ago and after 6 months the printing started to get streaks through the documents and pictures with lots of banding. I cleaned and cleaned but it never went away. It used a lot of ink to clean and never fixed the problem. I would not recommend this printer.

Used the Artisan 800 for yearssss, it finally died. Epson Expression Preimum 830 replaced it. it has some neat new features. it was easy to set up. the support videos on the Epson web site were very good. I really like Epson and recommend it to my friends who work at home.

I had a very tough time setting the printer up. I am not on a network. You give no instructions how to go wireless without a network. Fortunately I had the correct cable to attach physically. In one place you say to go to the website and select "User's Guide" to clarify a problem. I couldn't find a User's Guide. I have been using personal computers since the Apple II+. I pity the novice with these instructions. The actual printer is quite nice and does a good job.

I recently bought this Epson Small In One Printer The delivery was quick. The box (the manufacturers box) has two holes on one side. The manufactures box with the printer was not put into another box to give it more protection. I called Epson regarding this. Thankfully there was no damage to the printer. I've used it to print, copy, both in color and in black and white. I've printed different size envelopes. also. The print is sharp and the color cartridges also have good color. I would recommend buying this printer. It gives a lot for the money with good results.

It prints very well as far as speed, colors, bold black ink, and clarity. I haven't had any paper jam issues yet and that's always a concern with some printers. the setup was easy.
There are only2 reasons I only gave it 4 stars.
1. It is very loud getting prepared to print. For most people this isn't a concern but most of the time I spend working on my computer is when my toddler is napping. My computer is at the front of my house and his room is at the very back of the house. Sometimes it wakes him up.
2.If the tray that catches the paper as it comes out of the printer is not pulled all of the way out, it will not allow you to print. This wouldn't be a problem if I didn't print wirelessly from my phone when im not able to get up and walk to my computer. Sometimes I need to print things and continue to work on my ipad or iphone without having to get up and pull the tray out a half of a cm so that it will start the print job.

Best Multi-function Printer

This printer is excellent for all types of printing. The photos are beautiful and regular printing is looks great. Also, Epson ink cartridges are more reasonably priced than other manufactures. Additionally, the setup software was very easy to locate, download, and install. All functions work perfectly as advertised.
