Epson was highly rec. by the people at Ofc. Dep. I am setting it up, and so far, like the features this printer offers.
I hope it works out for us.

Better have a DVD drive to do the setup

If you don't have a DVD drive, you can't do the setup. Newer notebooks and hybrids don't come with drives.

XP-630

I purchased this printer for the photo capabilities and was very well pleased. The printer was easy to set-up and learn the features. The only drawback was changing cartridges. The ink tray tends to retract before allowing enough time to remove the old cartridge.

First impressions

Received the XP-630 today; within two days of ordering! It was easy to unpack and set up, except for the wireless. I'm an older user and had my youngest son help. He did this in under three minutes. Everything worked fine for the print test, etc. Once I start using the other features, I'll do another review. My previous Epson lasted 8+ years! I'm hoping for the same longevity for this newer model.

Why I Buy EPSON

Over the years I've had my share of 'Computer-Stuff'. I've had different brands of this, that, and the other. All in all, EPSON has served me the best for externals! I presently use three different scanners, three different printers, and two faxes, with four computer systems, doing different types of work. EPSON never failed me, unless I abused it somehow! Keep up the good work, EPSON!

Small, but Powerful Personal Printer

Easy set-up. To all those who commented they could not set up, did you read the directions? You do know you are supposed to turn off your computer's firewall, so that your printer/computer can receive the setup installation instructions, right?

I Like it !!!!

Been using the printer for a week now and it has performed very well. The main reason we decided on the Epson was its capability to print on special CD or DVD disk. Yes the disk are just a little more expensive, but you do not have to purchase the paper stick on covers and there is NO WAY the stick on covers will interfere (bubbles in the cover) with the disk information or come off and get stuck in your driver.
Printing of documents is excellent and (have not tried this yet), they say picture printing is high quality.
Setting up the printer via wireless was quick, but I wanted to set up my desktop through Ethernet cable separately but can not do both = so both computers are on wireless now!
