Installation difficulties

The installation of the software is easier now that I look back on it but it was different from my last printer installation which was more than 10 years ago. Yes, I guess I'm behind the times and not keeping up with technology but I struggled with the instructions. Last time I hooked up a printer the drivers were automatically downloaded from the internet so I assumed this would be the same, not in this case. I had to manually go to the website to install the driver. If you remember this you shouldn't have a problem. For some reason unbeknownst to me, I also had to use the USB cable to enable my wireless connection. The printer would not do it wirelessly. Other than these complications, I am looking forward to using my new printer.

Easy Wifi not so easy

Well, I had to hardwire install to use the printer. The wifi wouldn't accept my connection after multiple attempts. Maybe someday, when I have a day to waste, I can get customer support to tell me why it won't connect. The box said easy, but like most electronics, they expect you to be an IT guy to follow all their prompts.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

GREAT PRINTER!!!

I just purchased this XP-830 to replace an XP-820 which failed due to my own fault. Hint- do NOT buy any ink other than Epson brand. My 820 was flawless until I tried to cheap out and bought non Epson cartridges. Bad mistake!!!!
For the money, I don't think there is a better desk top photo printer on the market. Period!! I've had many other printers and this Epson is the best by far. Easy set up also.

Great Compact Printer

This is my third Epson Printer. Used the first one until the rollers broke and bought a business model.

The one I have now is an XP-630 and I like it really well except my only complaint is that I keep it on black print but all the colors of ink is used and they are used up pretty fast. This stopped working well for a time because Microsoft changed the drivers and I had to download them two or three times from the /Epson website. Thank goodness they still have then. It works fine now and makes great copies. I gave four stars because I found it take more ink than other printers that I have had.

the Epson XP-830 Is an excellent printer for the price. The features of this printer (sheet feeder with duplex scanning; duplex printing; and CD/DVD printing, Wi-Fi capability and many more) are exactly what I expected and needed especially the printing to CDs and DVDs. Keep up the good work Epson!

Epson Expressions XP-830

After researching printers I settled on this one, and I am very happy so far. Set up was a breeze, ink cartridges are very easy to install compared to other printers I have owned. Wireless network connected with no problems and I thought the 2 pages that were printed during set up looked great. The printer has lots of nice features and I'm sure I will be pleased with it down the road.

Nice Printer

I originally had purchased another companies printer, and after 3 days of trying to get it to work-I lost my mind returned it and picked up this one. I was up and printing about 30 minutes later. I like the size and the quick output. I have more to learn about it, but it saved me and I'm happy!
