I have been looking for a replacement compact printer that would fit into my roll top desk draw, be a reliable all-in-one, have separate color cartridges, and at a reasonable price. The XP-830 was the perfect fit. Not being the sharpest tack in the box on computers, I had a little difficulty getting the printer to talk to my laptop. It turned out to be a driver issue. So I called Epson support and they easily walked me thru it. So not only is the printer absolutely great for my small jobs, but the technical support is helpful, knowledgeable and patient - overall a great deal in a quality product with quality support.
I would recommend this to a friend!

My new printer is smaller than my last one, but way more efficient. It easily fits in the desk slot for the printer so we finally can close the door, due to the smaller size. The best part is how great the installation instructions are. As a "Senior" I usually have to get help these days, but I installed this with no problems at all. Very impressed! The two drawers for different size paper makes this so much more versatile than our old printer. We don't have to take out all the paper for each project. Highly recommend this printer!

I'm not sure why, maybe it is just the starter cartridges (which I just changed but haven't started using) but the photo prints I'm sending from my Macpro are not good. The colors are a bit muddy and there are streaks.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Wi-Fi

Set up was easy but left town and after a week had to reinstall Wi-Fi because computer would not find printer,
I guess I will see if it does it again.
No big deal just took an hour to troubleshoot then just reinstalled CD.
Let me know if there is something I did or not.

Smart all-in-one

After about a year of regular use it has held up as well as any of my other Epson printers, the scanner software works very well and has provided me with some majorly time saving options for both quality and additional organization of options and file directing of scanned files. Highly recommended all-in-one. Also I have to say that it is a very good looking printer in my opinion and is displayed in a visible desktop location.
I would recommend this to a friend!

it is a very good printer i can take a picture from my phone and i can turn the printer on and there it goes printing away i really recommend for others to try out this amazing printer from espon first time using it and i love it.i tryex my mothers at her house but there was no wireless and i didnt like that at all i cant wait to show my mother this one and buy one for her computer so she can print picture of grand kids and of important papers

Always drops wireless connection.
I then have to reset it anout 10 times before it will work again. When it does work it goes through ink like water. The worst epson I have ever owned.
