This is a reasonably priced all-in-one style printer

The unit is reasonably priced. The ink cartridges are at the top of that range. I've continued to buy Epson products due to my previous experiences. They also don't require any hocus voodoo dance to work with my Apple devices. This, as well as my other XP Epson units have a tendency to fall in & out of wi-fi usage without any notable reason. The 630 does have a larger screen for scrolling through & re-entering passwords for such. My XP-310 requires some squinting and/or a magnifying glass. I think this intermittent problem would have been solved by now. For me, that is not the case. I think it would be great to have an easy information reload .. option that could be loaded on a scandisc or USB stick. Mr. Murphy does seem to enter at the worst times & tapping around the alpha-numerical & upper lower case details ... well, I'd rather be doing something else!

I bought this printer in August 2016 and everything was great until about 3 weeks ago when the printer decided to go offline. I reloaded the drivers and an update from Epson yesterday, but today the printer is offline yet again. PC is Windows 10 Pro OS

Easy set up but messy fingers!

I just bought this printer for a home office. I wanted multifunction, document feeder and wireless connection. It has all the features I wanted and set up was a snap. My only complaint is that for some reason the black set up cartridge had leaked and was coated with ink. I wiped it off with a tissue and installed it. No problems with any of the others. Looking forward to trying out this new printer in the coming days.

Nag for ink. Special drivers that phone home

If you want a printer that nags for ink and phones home with all your private print usage, then this printer is for you. No standard print driver. Looks like a Windows 95 driver in Windows 10. And after every print it suggests you buy ink.

I did a lot of research before choosing this model

I'm an obsessive researcher, and once I decided to invest in a photo printer I began that full-on nerd process. To me, there's nothing worse than spending time, energy and money on technology only to be stuck with a product that doesn't perform as it should - and I've learned to do my homework. Plus, considering the necessary expenditures like ink and paper, I wanted to be sure the choice I made was the best one for my project needs and budget. After three weeks of reading expert and consumer reviews, in-person time comparing brands, models and features and watching for sales all while my husband teased me, I bought this model, additional ink cartridges and Epson S041406 paper. I am thoroughly pleased (and a little blown away) with what this printer can do! There is no comparison to the photos it produces with this combination vs drugstore quality - it even beats my mail-order specialty prints and looks identical to the $$$ enlargements I've had done at a local photo supply shop. A month into my purchase, I'm re-energized about taking great photos so I can print them. I'm actually looking forward to another project I've been putting off for too long: color-correcting and re-printing old photos for my Dad, who really wants to sit down with an album and reminisce. So if you're researching like I was and wishing someone could reassure you that you're making the right choice, I'll do just that. (And do upgrade the paper to the ultra premium line, whatever your preference on the finish. You'll love the results.)

All I need!

I have used Epson for a long time, mostly to print on discs for clients. I changed printers last time, thinking I had upgraded, but today I am back with Epson. The cd printing software is super easy and allows me complete creative control! And this model is an upgrade from my previous printers so definitely enjoying some added features! And the cd printing quality is the best yet!!!
