Setup not as easy as it should be. After setting up to print to photo paper 4x6 continually prints to letter. I will have to research how to resolve, but I shouldn't have to spend so much time on this...

Piece of Garbage ! Problems with just about everything.

This Epson XP 830 is the Worst copier I have ever had -I would Not Recommend it ! I had an Epson Artisan 835 for years and Loved it - I thought they would be similar in quality - but No
Completely and Totally Disgusted with this printer!!!!!
The Problems with this copier seem to be endless....
The Feeding tray is Extremely hard to pull out (to load paper) it literally Drags on the Bottom! This is no exaggeration! You have to use two hands to ever so gently get it to come out.
The Output tray (which holds the finished copies) gets in the way of the loading the feeding tray and does not function properly.
The 'Automatic Feeder' does Not work at All!
The CD tray just popped out one day when the output tray ejected and will not go back in.
Copier will not run 'only black' copies, even though this model has 2 black ink cartridges: a 'black photo cartridge' and a 'black ink" cartridge. So if a color cartridge is out, the machine refuses to copy a totally black copy from the black ink.
The printer arrived with 'Sample Ink' , barely enough to make minimal copies before having to go buy more.
Will be trying to return it,,, though I've probably missed the return window and will be stuck with it. Piece of garbage !

The setup was/is a nightmare! Both the written and on-line instructions are awful. Nothing but frustrating!

Serves my purpose moderately

This replaced an Epson Artison 50 because the 50 often gave me error messages when using it to print on a CD/DVD. The XP-630 does it quite well. However, it is much more difficult to print on 2-sided Avery business cards on the 630. It is not workable to load multiple Avery blanks since they tend to stick together. Especially if printing on 2 sides. The 50 has a rear download position making it easy to load one sheet at a time. So lacking this function on the 630 makes it more difficult and slower to use. Ink cartridges for the 50 are difficult to find in most stores because Epson seems to have phased out the Artison 50. When I need a new cartridge, I need it now and can't wait for it to be shipped to me.
I would recommend this to a friend!

it does not work correctly! it stops in the middle of a print job for about 5 minutes! why! I've had Epson printers for years and all my other printers work very well {artisan 837 photo printer, the very best] ink pad went bad on it & I cannot replace it or the printer any more. WHY! I take loads and loads of pictures.

not as good as expected

I was unable to get it set up myself, so had to pay tech to do it which cost more than the printer. Awkward to use as you have to manually open the print tray before anything will print. I like that it's on the small side and does print on both sides

Great home printer

Easiest printer I've ever connected to my tablet & laptop. I've had no problems printing and quality is what I expected. The paper tray could be improved to hold more sheets but it's not an issue that holds me back for my rating.

I love the size-does not take up a lot of space. easy to set up must follow CD instructions. so far no problems. I have not used the fax yet-nor scam from the computer.
