Seems flimpsy

I had an Epson printer Stylus RX 680 for years and loved it. It turned off and wouldn't turn on and had to have something quick to print out report. I purchased this XP 830 and it seems really cheap and flimsy. I liked the rear feed on my 680. This one is in the front and you can't put anything in front of the printer so you can load paper, the drawers are difficult to work. The second thing I tried to print jammed the paper. I'm not real happy with this new printer. I've always believed Epson made the best printers and I like the ability to print on DVDs. the 680 felt solid and secure, this 830 feels cheap and flimsy.

Worse SET UP EVER

I can't speak to usage but this was the longest, most complicated and worst instruction for set up I've ever seen, and I've owned many Epson printers for years and years. I don't like the way the paper loads and ink loading is questionable. Maybe I'll like it more once I really get used to it, but please......can't installation be easier ?????????

Disappointed

I loved my Epson Workforce but I wasn't utilizing it to the capacity for the amount of printing it was made for. I purchased this which is smaller but an all-in-one but my computer continuously does not recognize the printer. It is constantly offline and setting up scan to email is impossible. I am so frustrated...today I spent several hours thinking I got it to work and it printed blank pages. It is too late to return this but definitely does not compare to past models.

Very Disappointed

I purchased this printer primarily for the purpose of printer DVD and CD labels. I have owned previous Epson disc printers. After a few months of use the ink started to leak and smear all over the discs. I replaced the ink cartridges but the problem remained. I was wasting so many blank discs that I just bought a new Bravo disc printer. Now I only use this Epson strictly for paper printing because the ink does not smear on paper (so the problem is not the ink cartridge)

Great prints, so-so- tech

Wanted a replacement printer to do my own photo reprints and enlargements. I also do a papercrafting business from my home. Like the 5 individual ink colors. Am able to print on cardstock. Too many screens to go thru process of changing ink cartridges. Limited area for paper in trays.
I would recommend this to a friend!

worst printer I've ever owned

Generally, it's a miracle if this thing will print anything at all. I've had to uninstall and reinstall the software multiple times, and every time there is an "update", nothing works again. For the time and frustration in dealing with this printer, I think Epson owes me an apology and a paycheck.

Makes beautiful photos

I have always had a different brand from Epson, but this time opted for change. I would give it five stars except that it takes far too long to even start to print. Very slow. The printer goes through too many “click-sounding” stages before it starts to print. The actual printing of a document is reasonable. I don’ t recall how much I paid for it, but price is generally not a deciding factor for me. This printer seems to be cheap.

Great little Printer

I purchased this printer a little over a month ago and I am glad I did. the features on this printer are awesome, It's very easy to use and was very easy to setup. I have printed many projects and the ink tanks are still full yet the quality of the print is awesome. The speed is quite pleasing compared to my old one. So I think you will not be disappointed with this printer.
I would recommend this to a friend!
