Works great

I replaced an old printer that failed with this one and so far it seems to do a great job printing pictures, and text documents. Haven't had a need yet to do a scan, but if it works and looks as good as everything else it should be fine.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This product is very difficult to use and performs poorly

I thought that the 830 would work better than the 630. It doesn't. Setup is difficult, updates are clunky, and the heads won't align. IU will be returning it.

Great photo printer, but a pain

We bought this printer because it had good reviews for photo printing. It does great photo printing, but everything else is a pain. It will not print labels from MS Word ( I used to teach how to create and print labels on a variety of machines.) It loses contact with the both the direct connect and the wireless. Sometimes it will scan and other it will say there is no connection. I have had HP with little or no problems, but we thought this time we would go for the better photo; I believe this was a mistake.

Very Impressed

I have always used Epson printers from the C88 to the 4880. Updating my Epson "fleet" (6 different Epson printers for different types of printing and uses) was easy after I purchased an 830 for my mother to use for her scanning and printing needs. The more I went through the set up and features of hers, I became more and more impressed with this model. The printing is gorgeous, colors vibrant and photos nice and clear. I like that it uses Claria inks. The scanning is as you would expect from Epson, ease of use and results are exceptional. The control screen is a nice large size and responds to touch very nicely. The wifi and connection to my iPhone is what sold me. Very easy and straight forward to set up as well as use this feature. I'm hooked! Great printer for a great price!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Frequent jams and only average quality photos

I bought this printer being told it was high quality, but I have had older printers that did a much better job. This one jams frequently on regular documents. I'm never sure if the document is going to come out right when I hit print! I also have printed some photos over Wi-Fi, and they are not as clear as my old printer. They have great color quality, but look almost blurry. I'm going to try to print using a cable to see if that improves the quality.

Why no double sided printing option????!!!!

I have had so much trouble setting this thing up, and I still can't get all the features to work, such as double side printing!

Problems with this model

I've purchased several Epson printers over the years, but this one falls short. I get random black marks on paper which sometimes is corrected by a head cleaning. The scan function is not reliable; sometimes it works, sometimes it does not.
