Wish I hadn't bought an Epson

Constant communication problems. Computers think it's offline when it isn't. Computer connected with USB wants to only recognize as FAX when FAX isn't even enabled.
It worked better for first several months, but it's a constant headache now.

The paper tray is cumbersome to access. I really don't like the control panel wasting power to open and close. the machine is very light weight and the ink tanks are tiny. If this is the direction of Epson all-in-ones, then I will find a different manufacture next time.

To many motor driven parts. Fancy & neat to watch, but will the out put tray & touch screen hold up? I think it may have issues. Difficult to load paper too.

Defective printer. Leaks ink. Can't clean it. Sloppy.

I've had this printer two years I think. I've had repeated problems with it printing bars of pastel color instead of an even gray in a chart, stray smudges, even globs of ink. I've done everything suggested in the manual including things that don't supposedly solve this problem and nothing works. I put in a new cartridge recently and that solved the problem briefly but now it's back. It also refused to recognize a brand new epson cartridge a while back and I bought two more to try to get it working before succeeding. Very disappointing. Probably going back to HP. I was fed up with them but this is worse.

Bought the printer about six weeks ago. It is really good with photos! I don't print lot, but this is the ideal replacement for a home laser printer. Text printing is accurate and clear.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Major hassle to reconnect after a power outage

Consumer Reports recommended this printer. However, I would not. After a power outage it is a major hassle to get the printer reconnected to all devices again on a Wifi network.
