I have had almost every other brand of printer and always has one or more issues. We have both PC's and Mac's in the house and it seems most printers have issues connecting WIFI with one or the other. This hooks up to everything just short of automatically. Print quality is as good or better than other brands. Ink is a more reasonable price and this All-In-One works flawlessly. Highly recommended for home printer.

An Efficient Ecomomical All-in One Printer

I have owned this unit for about 2 months and I am more than pleased having it. I like the 2 sided copy, ability to fax and copy and wireless connection to my Mac, iPhone & iPad Pro. On;y reason for not giving it 5 stars is the photo prints are Okay, but not outstanding.

DEPENDABLE PRINTER AND GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE

I used another brand company printer for a long time. Then, because that company no longer had customer service, I was referred to this BROTHER PRINTER. I have found it to be reliable. AND, THE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS GREAT. I learned how to scan from them, kept the notes, and refer back to that info when I scan, which is very INFREQUENT.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Printer and bad ink cartridges

This product goes through too much ink. The ink is expensive and if one of the ink cartridges is almost empty it won’t let you print. I do not buy ink is costly

Easy to use

I like the Brother MFC-J485DW, it's easy to set-up, easy to use, and especially easy to change ink cartridges. My wife and I have our respective computers in different rooms and the wi-fi connections worked from the start( not a statement I could make with other non-Brother units) and it's quiet. It's not the fastest printer around but it does the job well, and so far, without glitches.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Even though it is an inkjet I was expecting better printing speeds. As an example we had 1 document that was 2 pages in length, with just the title in 14 point font sanserif in blue. We needed 30 copies, it took 45 minutes to print 10 copies. I chose this printer because I was sold on the Brother HL - 2270 series. I knew that the HL was a faster printer but I expected the MFC to print faster than it did.
There were other issues but I do not want to take the time here to discuss it .

Very slow runs outof ink fast

Runs out of innk fast keepsgoing offline. Almost impossible to get back on line. Very frustrated with this product is not reliable. Would NEVER buy again
