Waste of money

Had to have the brand new printer replaced with a refurbished one that only lasted two weeks. I my opinion Brother is a product not to buy.

I do like this printer! It prints double sided and does excellent quality. I DONT like how the paper tray is on the bottom and not at the top in the back because it is limiting me on what I can do. Please change this! Or can someone recommend a goof double sided printer that has the paper tray at the back (but at the top)??

My MFC-J485DW

I like my Brother product. I only have one problem with it. I can use it one day, but when I turn the computer off and come back to use the product on another day, I have to use the disc to re-install it again before I am able to print again. That is a little irritating. Also, I have tried to follow the instructions to scan to my computer and use the fax and it's probably something I don't understand but it just doesn't work for me and I have to go out to scan and/or fax.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This is a terrific printer. Very high print quality and speed. Duplex is a nice extra. The small footprint works well for me.

Lots of Mac instructions not included in manual!!!

You must go online for special Mac instructions for even some simple ops. The manual is not clear or well organized. Ugh.
