Too Slow

Really slow! It is not good for high volume printing. I this thing takes hours to print 75 pgs. Literally hours! I get it needs its cool downs but every two pages is way too often! The prints are fine though I feel the ink is always a bit light. 2 hours and I'm still not done printing 75 pgs! My previous HP could do this in 5 to 15 minutes! Augh!

Its slow

Ita supper slow, its hard headed. It never wants to come on when I send something to print. It always tells me its not ready Yet. Best thing it did link to wifi easy enough. THE BIGGEST REGRET OF Any Buy.

so far the printer has worked well. there was no problem during installation and it works fine every time. so far it is a great upgrade from my old hp and i do recommend this printer for those on a budget who want a dependable product.

COMPACT EASY TO OPERATE, CARTRIDGES ARE LESS EXPENSIVE THAN THE PREVIOUS PRINTER I OWNED.

All of the ink cartridges malfunctioned

I'd been looking forward to buying a brother printer for years due to their printing efficiency. After a month, I had only printed a total of 20 black and white word document pages, yet the yellow ink cartridge had malfunctioned, even though I hadn't used any of it and I can still see that there was plenty of ink liquid inside the cartridge through the plastic viewing window. There was never a decrease in the ink levels when I looked on the printer settings. It went from "full" to "0" in a day. The printer wouldn't allow me to print ANYTHING until it was replaced.
I notified brother support, and they told me the cartridges will use ink even when it's not printing, and sent me a replacement yellow cartridge. By the time the replacement came, the blue and red cartridges malfunctioned, and again, I wasn't able to print anything. The malfunctioning has been an inconvenience, making me late for work, as I've had to make prints at the local Staples instead. How can this be resolved?

J485DW Disappointing

Problem replacing cartridge. On 7/20/17, I followed service tech's instructions. Ended up replacing all 4 even though 3 showed 75% life left. I KNOW only BL needed replacing. My old MFC255CW was MUCH better.
