GREAT 3-IN-ONE

GREAT 3-IN-ONE, functionality is easy, printing is great, I don't use fax but it's there if I need it. Just one flaw that I can see is in scanning photos; photos come out with white blotches and\or color streaks and not smooth finish, that is a real bummer for me.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Always a problem with wifi

I replaced another Brother because I had to reset the wifi connection too often. This one is about the same. I guess when I loose a connection with the internet signal it looses its IP address and I have to reconfigure through the setup wizard. I have Spectrum broad band and doesn't seems to loose connectivity with my other devices. Wish that wasn't such an issue. Good price and good print and service otherwise.

Good for the price

I didn’t have access to my better Brother MFC since my home goods were in transit to the east coast, while waiting I decided to buy The MFC-J485DW printer; the printer is good for small jobs and if you are not in a hurry since it is very slow to print, but for the price it can be a begineers printer or for somebody that doesn´t print on a daily basis

Brother Printers Keep Going

I bought this Brother printer to replace a Brother printer that I'd had for almost 10 years. Other brand printers that I'd had would give-up after 4-5 years. The Brother printer that I had to replace was still printing just fine. The problem was that the paper tray had worn to the point that I couldn't get it to release so I could take it out of the printer. Another feature I like is the individual color ink cartridges. I like being able to replace each color cartridge as necessary instead of having to replace a three-color cartridge when just one of the colors runs out.
I would recommend this to a friend!
