Good printer with little issue

I purchased this printer to replace my faulty MX392 since they use the same ink cartridges. So I like to do a comparison between these two.
Basically they are close in print quality. MG3620 seems a little faster and it's a little smaller and lighter. But it doesn't have the top document feeder, that's the only thing I missed from MX392. The wireless feature is great and convenient, but it's NOT easy to setup. I had to try many times and eventually had it up(wired USB connection has no issue). Once it's up, other devices are easy to set it up. Phone(both Android and Apple) setup is relatively easy as well after wireless printer has been done. And it prints well from all devices for both text and photos.
Another good thing about this printer over MX392 is double-sided printing. It's automatic, you don't need to manually feed the paper again which is great.
So far I am happy with the printer.

Great printer, but uses ink quickly.

Bought this printer last week. I had trouble setting it up without the CD. With the CD, it install easily. Print quality is really good. Even when i set it on Gray Scale and Draft printing, the quality was decent. I do a lot of printing, so I'm almost out of black ink. Seems like it should have lasted longer. Great quality printer for the price. I highly recommend it!

Stops working after 8 -10 months, Waste of Money

Stops working after 8 months. Obviously the ink cartridgne run out very quickly. The offer an XL cartridge that has more ink, and of course cost more money. Canon- Why not offer all of your ink cartridges with the "XL" amount? Do you think customers want to buy ink every 3 months?
My Canon Pixma has stopped working today. I have several items to be shipped out. This is not an ink error. It's an equipment error. I've followed all of the online Canon instructions for the model I own. None of them are helping. My advice it to purchase a more reliable brand with better customer service.

Disappointed Teacher

I bought this printer in order to be able to print documents and pictures in my classroom. The wireless connectivity seemed like a nice bonus feature, but I did not set it up so I cannot comment on ease of connectivity. My theme for the use of this printer is expectation management. First, expect to pay almost as much for replacement ink as you did for the printer. Second, expect ok, but not great print quality. Last, expect quick obsolescence. I bought this printer in 2023, and it suffered from an apparently unrecoverable error in 2024. The lack of longevity here is wasteful and disappointing. I am hesitant to even risk going with a more expensive Canon printer in hopes that it will be more useful, because I literally cannot afford for this to happen again.

Horrible printer

The worst printer I have ever owned. Have had multiple issues and already been replaced once, the new one is having similar issues. Always owned HP or Brother printers and will go back to those brands. Do NOT be tempted by the price - this company is knowingly selling defective printers.

Setup is clunky and I don't like that you have to download an app to install, but once it's installed, it's smooth sailing. Love the wireless printing from my iPhone. Everything has been a dream. This is my second PIXMA and have liked both.

Fine Printer and Software

This is my second one, both of which work well. I do like the duplex printing feature in that I do not have to flip the pages over; but the printing process this way is very slow.

It's a pretty good printer for the price

I've had this printer for about 6 months and am mostly satisfied with it. It replaced a similar HP that died after just three years. This unit prints sharp black text, and it does a flawless job on envelopes -- a sore spot with my previous printers. I don't do much color or photo printing, but what I've done so far looks pretty good. It's very quiet once it gets going, though the printhead cleaning before the first page takes a while. I expect the ink costs to be bit on the high side, but given my occasional use that's no big deal. Wireless setup was simple & fast.
