Excellent printer for the money

Don't trust those other reviews you've seen for this printer. They must have got lemons or something because mine works just fine. Aside from some little bit of difficulties I had initially getting it connected via wifi to my MacBook Pro, which in the end was mitigated by connecting with a USB cable temporarily (which luckily I had on hand; be advised that one doesn't come in the box for whatever odd reason which I just don't understand why they do this with printers nowadays), it has been working perfectly.
Once I've got things connected the way they're supposed to, the speed of this printer has been blazing fast. At first, I wasn't quite getting those speeds, but once I've figured out those proper settings (connecting it in macOS' system preferences with the Canon iJ connection and not Apple's Bonjour), I've been more than happy with this thing. Also, the way it does double sided printing is quite nice. Once it reaches the end of the page, the printer will then take the paper back in and then flip it to print on the other side. Very slick!
There are 2 little things that have annoyed me with this printer though. One of them, how much noise it makes when warming up and after a print is complete (during the printing process itself, it's fairly quiet though). The other is the fact that the printer will completely power itself off after sometime. Not simply power saving mode, but no, a complete power off. Since it isn't too straightforward as to how to disable this feature since this model doesn't have a screen of any kind, the way you can disable such a feature is possible, albeit a little cumbersome. Here's how you can do it:
1. Press and hold the stop button until the alarm light (the one with a triangle and a lightning bolt inside of it) blinks 13 times
2. Disable it by pressing the black copy button
Little annoyances aside, this is a great printer for the money. The quality of printouts from it for me have been outstanding, and it just works. Haven't got a chance to test out photo printing (though I may sometime get some photo paper to try that out), but from what I've heard from others who have tested it I've heard it works great for a printer in this price range.
I would recommend this to a friend!

For what I paid, its OK. But has issues.

It was easy to set up. Even to my mobile devices, which later turned off after thinking why would I want to print from my phone or tablet? To easy to mess up and waste ink. The print quality is fine and it's quieter than my last printer. I had 2 issues so far. 1st is Canon in general, why do you automatically download all that software? All I wanted was the driver and basic software to run the thing. Now I have so many Canon programs I don't know what does what, it takes up 1/2 of the program manager. Come on now, no option to not install all the extras? Thats stupid. And 2nd, wireless printer is fine, but most people will need a printer cord at one time or another. I had my old one, lucky as I needed it. I changed my internet provider, thus WiFi changed. This printer would not auto change like all of my other devices. And since there is no small screen on the printer so you can see the options, I had no idea how to change something so simple as available WiFi. Computer could not communicate with it nor even find it when searching for devices. Finally I plugged in my cord and wala! Set up instantly, no problem. See what I mean about the cord. One last thing, why are the control buttons not recessed at all? Guess you never had a pet before. I have to cover the top where the controls are with some cardboard. Not the best design, and quite big for what it does, takes up a lot of room. It will work for me but I'll look for something else fairly soon

Just don't change internet/wifi providers

I've had this printer for several months and was actually quite happy with it until I changed my internet/wifi provider. This should have been as simple as connecting the printer to the new network and moving on - but instead the process is convoluted and instructions are poor. This has been a very frustrating process.

I've had 3 of them and all died suddenly when paper jammed and no repair shop or Canon would repair them. I'd gladly pay more for a more reliable model. Would recoommend with caution

ALWAYS JAMS

I bought this a month ago for my college dorm. Difficult to setup. Finally got it setup once I purchased a USB cable to connect the printer to my laptop. Now every time I try to print it jams. Every. Single. Time. TERRIBLE.

MG3620 wireless printer works well

I minutes bought this printer about a month ago to match up with my Chromebook computer. The setup instructions for Google Cloud Print were not too good. But when I called the Canon customer support line, I got a great tech and we were up and running in less than 30 minutes! Customer support saved the day! I was very pleased. Since then the printer has worked very well and I am pleased.

Worked the first day. Then never connected to the network again. Followed all the instructions and "how-to" videos. Nothing.
