Very Nice Printer !!!

Very nice printer, especially for the price!. I've had the MG 3520 ( which appears to be about the same machine ) for about 3 years and have not had it jam even once. The only reason I only gave it 4 stars is because the wireless doesn't always work from my wife's computer, which is only 20 feet away across the den. Other than that, it has been a great printer and scanner!

Great printer for the cost

I upgraded to a MacBook Air and my father has a PC running Windows 10. The printer we had before would not work with my new laptop and we were both looking for a wireless printer for months. I bought this one because it would work with both my Mac and my dad's PC and it was wireless. A little tough to set up at first (mostly because I did it on my Mac which required I get the software online) but after I got it set up, it worked perfectly.

Wireless setup
on June 1, 2020

After many frustrating hours unable to do a wireless setup on my Mac, I finally tried a USB setup. It worked on the first attempt. For some reason I then tried the wireless setup method again, and this time it worked. Once the wireless connection was established, I removed the USB cable.
I stumbled upon this glitch with my old MG3520 and remembered it when my new MG3620 would not do a wireless setup. I went to the Internet to download the drivers, as instructed in the written setup instructions, and never checked out the CD that was included. Maybe it has a work around for this problem.
My review: After years of expensive HP printers that were always jamming, I was fed up. I tried a Canon MG3520 mainly because it was not a HP. That $50 Canon lasted five years and had only one paper jam in all that time, and that good experience is why I bought this 3620. So far no paper jams, and the duplex feature is great. One thing I do not like is the difference in color between the red printer and the brownish red lid. My old 3520 was also red, but the entire printer was the same shade of red.

Generally straightforward and good quality. But the setup of wireless connectivity is ridiculously complicated - must be an easier way. And this one replaced an old one that lasted less than two years - fell victim to a fatal paper jam and never worked after that.

Works well for home use

Worked well for me. Used as a scanner, copier and printer for home use. I'm satisfied with its function. However, setting up wireless was hard to figure out and took me bit of a times. I had to download a Cannon app to my phone. Overall, its a good printer.

Bought this with the understanding it was an easy set up, furthest thing from that. Set up is NOT easy, god forbid you change wifi then it goes from a headache to a migraine

Update to my last review.

I was able to use wi-fi by first connecting with a USB cable, then running the connection software. This allowed me to enter the wireless router PW, etc. I found the documentation for this on line. Not as clear as it could have been from the set up sheet. But now it works from several PCs using wireless on my home network.
