Better than I had hoped .

I have just had to buy a replacement for an old office machine that constantly went wrong. I have had Epsons and HPs in the past and wanted to choose one of these. However, I helped a friend to set up a Canon a while back and it has performed good so I thought I would look at a Canon Printer for a change. I looked at the Canon MX922 as it had a pile of good reviews and it looked a neat machine and a good price. So I set off to the store to get one as I needed a machine that day and couldn't wait for delivery. I saw the MX922 on display and was amazed at the size...it was huge and not like the way I imagined it from the on-line photos. Unfortunately I hadn't bothered to check the dimensions. So this left me in a quandary as there I was at the store with credit card in hand and not a machine I was educated on. I looked at the shelves and saw the Canon Pixma MG 6821. It was a design gem..looking so smart and a perfect size and also i noted it wasn't cluttered with things I didn't need such as a fax and dialing keys etc. I looked up the model on my phone and quickly read reviews and realized it was a new product...or so I thought. I decided to buy it and take a chance. The reviews were all good but were from those luckily enough to be testing free samples. I brought it home and set it up. I saw that the other reviews referred to problems setting up the WiFi. I also had problems but realized I was keying in the wrong settings on the little display. I suggest anyone having difficulty just reboots the Router and selects 'Standard Setup' on the display as i finally did and it set itself up in ten seconds, after keying in my WiFi password..which it referred to as a 'phrase'. Don't select 'Cableless Setup' if like me your PC is connected to the Router via Ethernet. I couldn't get it to work that way. Also select 'Quiet Setting' and you will find its whisper quiet. Look for 'paper saving' and 'duplex' setting when printing. I have had this for a few days now and found its a truly wonderful machine that seems to have all the refinements selected from the best Canon machines. I have no idea what will happen when I really put it through its paces, but I cant imagine the attributes I have found so far will fail on multiple copying. But I will review in due course and update. In the meantime if anyone is deliberating like I was and don't need fax and bells and whistles but just wants a design marvel that works like magic...then have a good look at the Canon Pixma MG6821

Great Printer at a Great Price!

I have to say that some of the reviews here are very inaccurate. First, the set up was seamless and easy, no problems at all. If you just read the instructions it's easy. The wireless set up is easy if you just do what the setup guide says. To set this up on a wireless network you have to do it manually from the settings. Once that's done I've had no problems. Even when the printer is turned off it will automatically turn on when you send a print job to it. This is a feature that you have to turn on in the settings but it works perfectly. Print speed, both documents and photos is very fast and very quite. There is actually a quite mode that you can turn on in settings. Setting up the cloud printing and AirPrint from my IOS devices was very easy. I think that most of the bad reviews here have been a result of people not reading the instructions or taking the time to properly install the printer. One thing I did to was to go to the Canon website and download the latest driver for windows. This might be one of the problems that people are having. All in all, a great printer for a great price.

This product drives me nuts. Nice, convenient wireless features. Sleek design. However, the paper gets jammed way too easily causing frustrating I then have to take it apart with a screwdriver in order pull out the jammed paper. I wish I purchased a different one.

WiFi connection leaves much to desire, if at all

Bought this printer in January 2016. Printer would disconnect itself from the WiFi thus stopping whatever document I am trying to print from finishing. Printer model is not even listed in the support section of the Canon website! Been trying to resolve the problem, but have not been successful. We can't waste the time trying to fix Canon's printer problems when we have other matters to attend to.

Good, Not Great.....

This is a good Canon printer. It performs well, and once you get the wireless function working, that is a big added benefit. Here are the downsides: (1) Noisey: (2) Doesn't always turn off easily: (3) In 3 months of light use, we've already drained the small black ink cartridge.

Printer mostly in error state

Nice printer, but very frustrating, works on and off, most times in error state. I like the design, but what's the point if the printer wouldn't print when I need it to do so. So infuriating! I don't like using cables, which is why I bought it in the first place but wireless printing is such a nightmare with this cute printer.
